Long-term review (1+ year). Best gooseneck I’ve owned so far. What are these other people reviewing?

I don’t normally write reviews so sorry if the structure of this review seems all over the place. I’ve read some of the bad reviews of people saying that any part of this stand has weak resistance whether it be the clip, the gooseneck, or the ball joint and let me tell you that is all cap. Either they’re lying or they bought something else cause let me tell you this thing is STRONG. And I mean strong strong like, if you have weak hands then you might wanna get something else. Device Clamp/Cradle: The cradle that holds the device is adjustable in a couple ways. It is spring loaded , so basically you pull it apart, throw your device in and let it clamp down to hold it in place. It has foam on the inside of both sides so your device is protected. For larger devices, you can widen it even more. There is a button on the back you can hold down and pull one end of the clamp to widen it from about ~4 inches all the way to like 6-7 inches. Fully extended it’s about ~9 inches wide. Also the Bolton part of the clamp can be widened from about an inch to about 3 inches. (Sorry for all the “abouts” lol I don’t have a tape measure). Gooseneck: I use for an iPhone Pro Max (any phone will fit) and a Lenovo Tab P11+ which is not exactly a light tablet. 11 inch tablet and It weighs 1.08 lbs (490 grams) and this stand could easily hold more, probably another 1/2 lb or so before it will start to sag a little ( by the way this is with the neck almost sticking out almost completely horizontally). I’d say it can safely hold the 12.9in iPad Pro (hell maybe even the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra but don’t quote me on that). Table Clamp: Now for the clip, I literally have to use two hands to clip it to a table that’s about 3/4in thick, and once it’s in place, it ain’t moving after that unless you force it thanks to the nice grippy rubber feet on the inside of the clip. Ball Joint: Now for the ball joint. It rotates 360 degrees and can swivel about 45 degrees in any direction. Now here is where a lot of reviews seem to have overlooked, the resistance is adjustable. There is a screw around it that you can tighten to lock the position in place, or loosen so you can move it more freely. It amazes me how LLC many people missed this. Conclusion: Hands down best adjustable gooseneck stand I’ve owned. I’ve had some of the cheaper $10 ones that hold absolutely no position with a feather attached to it. That’s why your paying a little bit more for this (I paid about $35, at time of writing it’s down to $28), it has good construction (thick plastics, tight springs, good rubber etc.) I’ve used it almost everyday for over a year now and it still works like it’s brand new so take it from a long term user. This is definitely worth the money and by far one of the more quality goosenecks on the market.

Great to watch movies on in our RV

Our RV didn't come with a television in the bedroom and I like to watch TV as I feel asleep so I just downloaded shows on Netflix and hang my tablet on the window valence and problem solved! My tablet is heavy and it holds it without it drooping.

Less than meets the eye

The clamp requires two hands, I guess I’m just weak, to attach it to a table, door etc. However, it opens less than half the width advertised. I’d hoped to use it on my stationary bike, but it won’t open wide enough to attach. Very disappointed.

This gooseneck is SOLID

I have used the gooseneck phone mount product that hand screws onto any surface but let me tell you; that, versus what this is, is honestly a day and night difference!! It’s crazy how strong that clip is!! And what’s also insane to me is I’ve never had a gooseneck adjuster be that solid in any way shape or form and have it stay without falling or slightly tilting down! I’m honestly thoroughly impressed by this thing. I mean for $20 it is quite a bit, but my expectations were sort of like I had thought it would have been as flimsy as the other ones. But damn for $20 I think it was worth every cent! It says exactly what it does and I’m not surprised this isn’t an Amazon best seller for phone mounts. If you are looking for a super strong stem that holds the phone in any place you move it, this is seriously the one.

It’s okay

It’s a little wobbly . when you tap the screen on your device, The whole thing wiggles a bit. the neck is short so you can’t really move it around that much. But!! it does the job and it works.

Short very unflexibel gooseneck

I needed a gooseneck for an iPad on a recliner chair. For my use: far too short (how to get up and out of the chair, gooseneck has not 'turning' fixation), far too sturdy / unflexibel to bend in sufficient angles. Clip is not strong enough, if I get out of the chair and 'touch' it - it could fall off. For my case insufficient, may be fits better for other use cases.

Ergonomic, sturdy and reliable

I purchased this to hold my son's Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 inch tablet. The tablet has a protective cover and even with the protective cover it still grips it pretty securely. As a health professional I do not like the idea that people keep their heads down/necks bent when using mobile devices. I was looking for an ergonomic solution to this issue. My son uses the tablet with a blue tooth mouse placed on a book that rests on his lap thus keeping his shoulders in a relaxed position and the holder clipped to the back of a chair in front of him allowing him to keep his head straight. A great product!!

I purchased this product because I paint and needed a way to view photos next to my painting on my easel. I was able to clip it onto my studio easel to the left of my painting. It holds my iPad perfectly and is exactly what I needed. I highly recommend the product. It was delivered very quickly and I am entirely satisfied.

Great for toddler’s car ride

I have been using it in the car so my child can watch videos during long car rides. It’s been very sturdy and easy to use!
