Lacked instructions
I got this rolling mechanics stool to surprise my husband. So I wanted to put it together myself. There are no assembly instructions but it looked like all of the parts and pieces needed, including tools, were in a plastic zipper bag in the box. A short instruction video is also provided on the Amazon product page so I got started. There is an allen wrench as well as a small open ended wrench which helped to tighten the bolts on the bottom brackets that attach to the bottom of the seat to hold the wheels. A larger open ended wrench is provided to be used on the nut that screws on to the wheel that attaches to the bracket. But the video shows a very thin open ended wrench was used to hold the underside wheel while tightening the nut to the top of the bracket. This was not included. So I tightened them as best as I could. There was an extra small nut and and bolt and an extra large nut that I could find no use for. There were also eight small and eight large washers that the video did not show being used so I just used them where I thought they needed to be. Being a woman that does not have a lifetime background of tool use for household handyman projects, it took me quite a long time to figure out whether or not I was doing this right and now that I have it together I am still not really sure if I used all of the, nuts, bolts and washers correctly that I was supposed to. So I’m sure it took me many times longer to complete this project than someone would have that has any knowledge and experience with tools and putting things together. Once assembled, I tested it out. It rolls and swivels smoothly. It also has a lock on two of the wheels to keep it stationary if necessary. It’s at a good height for working on vehicles and also pulling weeds which will save my knees from all the bending. It feels well built and sturdy and and has removable storage trays on each end and also a pull out drawer underneath the seat, which will allow us to take along everything we need without needing to stop to get other supplies or tools. I would have given it five stars if accurate instructions had been provided.

Really Good Little Back Saver!
Overall, I am really happy with this little unit. It is shipped with some pretty decent quality casters that have done a good job so far. It is made of a blow mold plastic and thus lowers weight. So that is good to most. It is then around a squared tube frame. I have one tip to share, when installing the wheels two of them are locking and two are normal. Put locking wheels both up front or rear. Otherwise, you will want to change later. I have both of mine on the left and didn't think about that. I can lock it and sit down, and the right side moves easily. Now I'm writhing this review and it reminds me of this chore to do. My only concern about this cart is when it gets super-hot out it would need a pad on the chair side. I also would never leave it in the direct sunlight. You would need to move it to the shade when stepping away. First it will get insanely hot, and two that could also weaken the plastic to collapse due to the heat vs blow molded plastic. Other than that, she is a good little unit. As it warms up more, if the plastic stays well firmed and does not cook me too much, I will kick up my rating for durability at that time.

Knee Saver!
I've wanted something like this for a while now as I'm not as young as I used to be. This is a pretty nice little mechanic's roller stool. The tool trays are nice and the curved seat is comfortable. The curved seat is plastic and not padded, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Over just a short time, the padded cover usually just rips and looks tacky anyway. It seems to be sturdily built and rolls around well on concrete. I weigh around 200lbs and the stool seems to handle it just fine. The height is just fine for me (5'9"), but I don't know how it would work for taller folks. I guess an adjustable height stool would be nice, but I'm sure it would add to the cost. I did not receive any instructions for assembly, but if you're working on cars with this, you should be able to figure it out. I will say that after a quick viewing of the instructional video on the product page, it is helpful, but it's also deceiving. He doesn't use the included washers, the thin wrench used to hold the wheel shaft in place during tightening was not included in my kit, and I think the locking casters should not be on the same end. Others, please correct me if I'm wrong. Overall, it's a nice stool. It's sturdy, rolls around easily, has tool storage for the job at hand, and looks good.

Sturdy; Assembly instructions would be helpful
The unit comes mostly assembled, but requires assembly of the rails to which the casters are to be attached and installation of the two plastic trays. My package did not include assembly instructions, but it was not too difficult to determine how the rails and casters were meant to be assembled and which hardware to use. Basically, the rails go on the bottom of the unit with the tail ends curving toward the outside. One screw, two washers, and one nut are used at each of the four points there the two rails attach. The casters are attached at the ends of the rails using two washers and one nut for each caster. A couple extra washers and nuts are provided in case one gets away from you. The only other bit of assembly is attaching the two plastic trays. They kind of snap into place when you get them lined up right. Push the back end of the tray into place under the seat (there is a small ledge to put the edge of the tray under) then pivot the outside edge down until is is in place. No hardware is included for fixing the trays in place, but they will stay in place as long as you don’t lift the outside edge of the tray. The unit feels very solid and rolls well. It’s the perfect height for working on automobile wheels or anything at that level (like a lawnmower, wagon, etc.).
