This is a review of the Lutron AYLV-600P-WH 600 Watt Toggler Low Voltage Single Pole Dimmer. You receive one dimming switch capable of handling up to 120volts - 600 watts. (Energy Star) This accepts 12-14 gauge wire and has both the screw side terminals and quick connect holes. I purchased this as I had a bathroom track light that had (8) 50 watt halogen GU10 bulbs replaced with led lights. When I did this, the led lights emitted a very loud buzz. I researched and found that a low voltage dimmer (ELV) may benefit with use of led lights to reduce and eliminate the buzz noise. I am a fan of this dimmer as I can use this in a single switch outlet allowing me to keep my pre-existing switch setup and metal wall plate. Install took approx. 5-10 minutes and was very straight forward. Once installed, my led bulbs (GU 10 base led lights each 5watts each) where almost silent compared to the loud buzzing state they were before this switch. To me, this was worth the higher price tag. I did install the led lights one at a time following install and did find the buzz began with silence (1 bulb) and did increase slightly with the more I added up to my total of 8. So if you are running a few bulbs, I would think this would be a zero noise solution. Summary – This switched has allowed me to use leds instead of halogens in my bathroom. (Total of 40 watts vs. 400 watts.) It was worth the price hands down, gives me my dimming feature I want – use and I would recommend this to friends and family. Going with 4 star rating as it was unable to fully eliminate the buzz but did an amazing job at making a very loud buzz barely audible.

More expensive than most but does the job
Had to but this one due to the type of LED retrofit recessed lights I bought for the kitchen. This does not have another brightness adjustment under the cover like a lower model does. Works like it should for Utilitech LED retrofit cans. Got the lights on clearance, so I'm running a $30 switch on $10 worth of lights. I've made worse life decisions for sure.

Nice dimmer, could use a minor improvement for installation
Just installed this for an under-counter LED lighting application. It's nice that this switch allows me to use the same switch plate as before. Installation was straightforward, although the stiffness of our wires made it more of an adventure than I would have liked. Unfortunately, the wire connection holes were too narrow for our wires, so I had to wrap them around the connection screws instead. I would like to see that improvement to this item going forward.

The switch arrived quickly and works perfectly. I purchased the switch after having some problems with my track lighting. The house is over 20 years old so I wasn't sure if it'd work. I got the new switch and it's perfect! Thank you.

Good price. Worked well on low voltage led chandelier.
It was easy to install in place of regular switch for a low voltage LED chandelier. Dimming range is good from very low to fuul brightness with no flicker.
