Good guage for the price.
While it reads accurately, it can be hard to read, depending on the background color. I taped a piece of white plastic to the tube & it's much easier to read. The tube holder part is only plastic, tho the shaft is metal (but for under $10, I can live w/ it) Overall it's an effective guage for the money & works well it the location I placed it in.

i like everything about it, except the stand, which is very flimsy, but does work

Just what I needed
I did not want an expensive rain gauge. And, I did not want a glass tube… I’ve had them break before. This looks nice, is easy to read and was just the right price.

Rain Gauge
This is the first rain gauge I have ever owned and I find it fun to observe how much rain we received. Although, it's made of plastic, I'm wondering how it will hold up to the outdoor elements. And if you will be able to read the gauge when the desired location is in the open and it gets alot of sunshine. I wonder if the plastic cup will become hard to read in time. The stake is alittle flimsy, but I have mine pushed in the ground pretty deep, so it's not as tall, as on windy days, it tends to move with the wind. I didn't realize how much rain an inch is, til I seen the gauge. I was alittle disappointed that it only registers 1.5 inches. I guess that's alot of rain, and you can dump it out and add to the amount of rainfall you keep getting. I've made sure to bring it inside when it's calling for freezing temperatures at night. But I like it, for my first one and for the price. It's made for an interesting conversation piece. I think it blends well with the landscape and looks nice.

Kind of Flimsy
The plastic rain gauge tube seems sturdy and is easy to read but the holder is pretty flimsy plastic. It does have a 3 piece metal mounting rod though the sections fit together using plastic joints. OK for the money but have my doubts it will last more than a season or two.

Personally I would not buy again.
I happen to have a piece of rebar available & I wire tied it to the rebar. The pole is weak & wobbly & the wind can easily knock it over. The top portion is all plastic & when the wind blows really hard, it comes loose. It is tricky to get the gauge in the cradle to where the male on the gauge to fit in the female plug at the bottom of the holder. In my opinion, it looks nice & for me, it is in with Irises’ & looks nice (you can't see the rebar) for something that can be visible by others. However, for practical use, if you only use one section of the pole with the gauge, it may just work but I'd be skeptical. That in mind, if you have a wooden dowel (dark in color) or a piece of rebar to attach it to, it works well.

Great Little Rain Gauge!
I've bought 3 different rain gauges and this was the cheapest and by far the best. I have two young children who love checking the rainfall levels when it rains. The first one I bought was part of a thermometer and rain gauge set. The thermometer was at the bottom and the rain gauge sat on top. The problem was that the rain gauge was made out of glass. My 7 year old picked it up to look at the rainfall totals, accidentally dropped it, and it was ruined within the first week. The Luster Leaf 1640 Rainfall Gauge is made out of plastic. This is much more kid friendly. The second rain gauge I tried was super cute but totally unusableFrog Decorative Rain Gauge . The frog WOULD NOT stand up and just tipped over every time we tried to collect rain. Although it was really cute, it was completely useless in collecting rain. The Luster Leaf is perfect. It sticks firmly into the ground, is easy to read, is made of plastic and still looks nice to have in the garden. My favorite rain gauge yet and the best price as well!

Worked for a while
This was really nice for a while but didn’t last long. The weather made it brittle till it just completely broke.

Basically tat
Packaging is not great, box was really damaged when it arrived and to be honest, it is very tacky looking and quite flimsy, not as nice as it looks in the images provided. I would not but this item again, disappointed in the quality

Cheaply Made
Easy to read but that is about the only positive thing I can say. The post is 2 pieces so not sturdy and does not stand straight. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Despite my feedback, I am using it and it seems to be accurate.

Great Rain Gauge
We like that we can have the gauge at different levels with the 3 part adjustable holder. We like the lowest level as it is not directly impacted by the wind....as it is close to the ground. We have also given them as gifts for people who have everything....but maybe not a rain gauge.

Cheap construction, but works
This product is cheap construction, very lightweight plastic. Likely to break easily. But it does measure rainfall, and you can lift out the rain container to read the amount at eye level.

Invest in something higher quality
Completely underwhelmed with the quality of this rain gauge, especially the flimsy plastic stake ("Multi-piece vinyl coated steel stake" it is not). I realise that this is hardly a scientific tool for measuring rainfall, but the price I paid for it plus shipping was ridiculous. It's pointless to even return it––it is too cheesy to let it loose into society again. This rain gauge is dollar store quality at best.
