Nothing short of spectacular

I knew when I added a new trex deck to my home I had to add these lights to my stairs. I’m very glad I did. The difference is outstanding. 5 Huge Stars!

Great lights

We wanted to add lights to our trex transcend decking and we could not have found a better product. We went with the trex brand of lights to match the decking. One downside was the price. While some other brand of lights go for $50 for a set, trex was $90 for four. However, we like the fit and feel of the lights. The connectors are simple to use. We have plans to add post lights and trex makes it simple and easy to add lights later down the road. Minus one star for high price.

Trex is Pricey but also Good

Overall I thought these were pretty easy to install (i'm also an electrical engineer). I have 12' wide steps, 6 total, and installed 3 lights per step. You will also likely need extension cords - DL5FTWR4PK (larger lengths available) and 6 way splitter - DL6SPLIT4PK if you are putting many of these in. Each light does come with a 5' extension cord that can plugged into a splitter. They look great and so far (a week in) I love them. I also went with the 100W transformer - 83DLTRANSFORMERCC. Its way over sized for 18 of these lights but I saw reviews on the 30W and decided the beefier options was for me. I utilize the dusk to dawn feature that comes with the transformer so I never have to worry about turning these lights on and off. The only negative is that these lights (and required Trex accessories) are expensive.

Nice lights but the connectors are junk

Spend the extra money and get a forstner drill bit. This makes nice clean holes and the lights fit snugly. Lights are nice temperature and brightness. Biggest complaint is the connectors on the low voltage side for the trex products. Several of mine took a while to get the pins lined up and a proper connection. They do take some force to fully seat but you have to be sure the pins are lined up before sending them home. Also pairing a 12V wireless remote control will allow you to hide your transformer wiring out of sight.

Wayyyyyyy over priced. They do work as described but wayyyyyyy too much money.

Trex Deck Stair Lights

PERFECT

These Trex Downlights are a perfect compliment to the Trex Lighting system I had custom installed on my Front and Rear Decks. They light the stairs for about 15"-25" in the area they are placed as long as you install them +5" over the level of the stair.

They do look nice once installed and properly functioning

A couple of the lights (specifically the attached leads) arrived slightly serrated or cut. One did not work and I am in the process of trying to return it. They are expensive and can only be purchased in pack of four (4) lights, so replacing one requires buying four (at about $95+ for the 4-pack. They do look nice once installed and properly functioning.. I'll let you know how the return of one fixture goes.
