The lock itself is good, but it doesn't come with the Cobra lock like it is supposed to. The U lock portion is good, but it is missing the cable lock. This would be a good bang for your buck considering it is a silver rated lock, but since it doesn't come with the cobra cable it is just normal. Get it from a different listing. I asked about the missing cobra cable lock, they sent another package that was still missing it, a complete waste of time. The lock itself is good, just this seller is very untrustworthy. The first one I ordered came in official packaging, the second one came in a plastic bag.

wafer core

rather disappointing for an abus. Lock is probably well hardened steel , cable was of high quality but all of this is let down by the fact this version has a cheap wafer core that can easily be picked by a child using a jiggler. Abus makes a better version of this same lock . I am returning , got a lock that is chinese but actually better for half the price.

I bought this for my bike and use it for my generator

I bought this because Abus makes a fairly high quality lock and it matches the color of my bicycle. The cable doesn't really fit well, so I use a smaller vinyl wrapped steel cable to tie up the wheels with it. The bigger cable works great with this lock to keep my Honda EU2000 generator from walking away.

Great value

So lots of bikes get stolen in the DC area from the metro lots. Mine hasn't. Of course, mine is a Chinese bike that is matte black with no labels. . . I had, and lost, a Kryptonite Forgedaboutit lock. That was super nice and sturdy. Also, three times the price and weight. Sure, thieves can get my bike easier with this lock. . . but this lock cost a LOT less and still seems far better than most other commuters are using on their bikes.

Solid lock, good mount

I have a wider frame bike and have never been able to use a cryptonite lock on this bike, I've always had to strap it down. I got this lock after losing my previous lock and it was able to mount on pretty easily and solidly. It doesn't rotate or move around, very solid mount and abus is a great lock

Abus mini lock

Small, portable, lightweight, heavy duty quality. Feel completely secure with this on my bike. Definitely recommend for the price.

roughly 7 stars/10. Good value for money, as others say, lock requires fiddling with key to open.

For the price of $55 it's good value for money. I have a real cheap bike, so I don't need a lock more valuable than my bike, but I do need something that will dissuade thieves from seeing an easy haul for the day. I am trusting that Abus has decent enough strength against most common lock breaking tools to be seen as at least an annoyance to overcome rather than a trivial job. The key mechanism is a bit shoddy, but the rest of the lock is ok. Lock quality, 7/10, value for money 8/10, overall 7.5/10. I'm satisfied. Oh, the cable is ok, quality 6/10, not long enough to loop around both wheels as others say. Edit: After about 10 days of use, I started having serious issues undoing the lock; i found the lock was almost impossible to unlock if i had it closed inside the frame holder, and I would've dropped this down to a 3 or even 2 star, but i figured out that you need to aplly some pressure by pushing the lock against the U and then unlocking with the key and then it comes out a bit more reliably. Still, I am very close to giving this a 3 star, and will keep an eye on if the lock problems persist or get worse.

Good value lock

Pretty good for the price (so good I bought two) - sold secure silver rating. Hard to fault it, but it would be nice if it had come with a couple of Velcro straps to hold the cable in place; plus a cover for the keyhole as it does has a tendency to stick after a while, esp riding in all weathers, so loses a star. When you start to have problems with the key/lock, flush it through with wd40, leave it a while then apply a dry chain lube to all the openings, waggle the key in the lock a few times and you should be good to go, I need to do this every 2-3 months to ensure smooth operation.

Value for money. Worth buying if you are looking for something to use while you go into a shop or cafe.
