It's hard to imagine a better built, more stable, more versatile step ladder than the Little Giant 2-Step Stool. It does several things that no other step stool I've seen does. Those differences make it suitable for many more use cases than a typical step stool. What makes the Little Giant different? Three specific aspects of its design. First, it has very wide feet that don't easily sink into soft dirt or through a grate. This step stool is not going to sink out from under you or become unstable because one foot sinks into a soft spot but the others do not. Second, it has a safety bar that can be moved out of the way. Most step stools have he safety bar which makes it easier to stand securely on the top step. This is great if you're using this product as a step stool. It is a deal killer if you're using is as temporary stairs. The temporary stairs use case is not something most step stools can handle. The fact that this stool has a safety bar that is both tall and moveable means that it offers to best of both worlds. You can grab the safety bar and keep tools on it in step stool mode. You can move it out of the way for stairs mode. There are a handful of other step stools that have no safety bar but none that have a moveable one. It's not just the safety bar that eliminates most step stools from serving as temporary stairs. The other design decision that limits this use case is the bottom step. Just about every step stool, safety bar or not, uses a narrow bottom step or tucks at least half of the bottom step underneath the top step. Either way, you have only enough space for your heel when walking down the steps in a forward direction. This is not safe. In contrast, the Little Giant's bottom step is actually larger than the top step and none of it sits below the top step. This final advantage not only makes walking down the step stool safe, but it creates a wider stance that further increases the stool's stability. For my use case, the Little Giant is a dream. I own a huge truck camper with a side entrance. A set of two steps hangs down nearly 12 inches below the door. These steps ruin the departure angle of my camper and catch on rocks, berms...anything that sticks up. Because I take my truck and camper down unmaintained dirt roads, I've managed to destroy my steps three times. But no longer. This step stool has allowed me to remove the stairs completely and get to places that I couldn't have gone before. I can stow it in the truck or camper when I'm moving and no longer worry about catching my stairs on sketchy dirt roads and tracks. And when I need a step stool, it is perfect for that too! The bottom line is that I would give this product six stars of I could. It is that good.

It is perfect
This step ladder is exactly what I hoped it would be. Have had it for couple of years now and have not once been disappointed in it. It has wide steps and I feel comfortable standing on it. It is very sturdy.

Ladder Excitement!
I am more than impressed and happy with this purchase. It's all it was advertised, small (2-step), light and strong with wide steps and the handle/tool bar very helpful for standing or tools. Perfect for accessing the racks and accessories on my Tacoma camper shell and my small offroad travel trailer. I highly recommend it!

Well built 2 step that works outdoors
I really like this 2 step ladder. The things that I really like about it are, 1) the bottom of the feet are wide so they don't sink down very easily in dirt or other soft surfaces outdoors, 2) there is a handy tray at the top of the handle or brace for holding screws, nails, hardware, small parts, or tools, 3) the steps are wide and deep giving you solid footing, and 4) the 2 step is rated to support 375 lbs. I've only had it since Christmas 2022 (it's Feb 2023 now), so I can't comment on it's longevity.

Best Safety step stool
I have has a standard two step stool which I purchased 30 years ago and it worked fine for all of those years. Now that I am older the small width on the steps are hard to balance on. The little Giant Jumbo two step ladder is fantastic. It has a fold down handle to maneuver getting items from Kitchen cabinets, and a fold up handle for open area work. The steps give you great security with the jumbo size. It is almost like standing on the floor. Light weight and easy to maneuver. Although I purchased it to be safer in my aging years, I would pick this stool for any age. They do come in many sizes so pick the one that is best for you.

Great little ladder
This little ladder is just what we needed. Just the right size, light weight, and even has a little nook for storing nuts and bolts. The only downfall is there’s no latch or lock to keep the step open, if you step too close to the edge, it’ll fold up.

Best stepstool I've ever owned. I'm 330lbs and it feels extremely sturdy when I use it. I like how you have the option to flip up the arm guard thingy for when ur doing something like changing a bulb in the middle of a room so u have something to steady urself as u go up n down

Wider steps much more comfortable and put less strain on your feet.
Had a small 4 foot fiberglass ladder for stuff around the house but the steps were narrow and my feet started to hurt if I was standing on it for extended periods of time. Bought this after seeing one in a grocery store being used to stock the top shelves. The wider steps are much easier on the feet for tasks like painting or hanging a bunch of pictures.
