That's exactly what it says it would
I have no dislikes on this one. It's just a nice little probe probably won't mess up your computer. circuit

Excellent tool to have
Bought my first one in the 80s finally broke little spring. So bought new one . A must have to check wires just make sure you use liquid tape on little hole after using to prevent moisture and corrosion

Heavy duty.
A very well made basic test tool.

Nice tester
As far as I can see looking carefully it is made in USA. No made in PRC anywhere. It works very well.

Excellent.
This is one of many Lisle tools rebranded for, Snap on,matco and Mac tools, only the cord is different, other than that it's exactly the same tool and over $100.00 cheaper, in these tough economic times it's important for Professional automotive technicians to get the best bang for their tool $$$.

Horrible
Not heavy duty at all. Overpriced

Good tool, good price
I like this test light for the polarity indicator mostly...if you ever take out bulb, make sure it goes in the same direction or itll only light red for power. It's safe on ECUs...the only complaint I have is the cord isnt very long, but I just found some wire that was nice and pliable and made a 5-6' lead instead of the existing one which isnt that long. Also put a new alligator clip on when I did this, one that'll grab battery terminals better. I had thought about making a modular lead w/ some female 4mm banana plug adapters and soldering that on so I could use my Fluke modular accessories (backprobes, different sizes alligator clips, etc). Maybe when I get bored. The point is, you can kinda do whatever you want to this tool and still have a cheap, comfortable test light that's computer safe w/ polarity for cheap. If you want a 10' lead, itll probably work. It's nice to modify test lights to fit my specific needs, I dont find it necessary to buy an expensive test light when I can make one. When I wanted a Load Pro dynamic test lead set, i just made one with an old test light, two 50ohm resistors in parallel (25ohm) and a little momentary NC switch. I think mine was more durable than the original.

Pictures and descriptions mildly misleading for the product I received
Okay so this is a great product. Works well, easy to read, does the exact same thing as the MAC one I use at work. My ONLY problem is that the product I received is NOT a coil lead. It's a straight lead, which isn't necessarily a problem, but I bought this partially with the coil in mind. The straight lead is incredibly long and I have to be very conscious of where it's at so I'm not tripping over it or letting it fall into/get caught on moving parts. The coil, while being the same length, is compressed and will support itself most of the time. So I can kind of forget about it. Just kind of annoying when you buy a product and it's not as pictured or described.

Best for older cars and trucks etc
It’s a jumper cable, ground tester, power feed. You used the shorting button to test if a line is shortened to ground. The light will flow dim is okay or bright if shorted. No replacing a 200 fuses looking for a short

nice light
looks just about like my snap-on test light at half the price. works great. even goes to 48 volt, my other one goes only to 19. worked for about 1 yr then quit. little resister inside burnt out, no more display. my snap on still working for more than 8 yrs. better off spending a bit more than replacing every yr for 75 dollars. dont know if theres warranty can not contact seller. just an update to my review.
