Where's this tool been my whole life?
Bought this for some 1/0 audio cable and copper lugs and it does the trick beautifully. With a 3lb hammer I was able to make very solid connections with just a few medium strength blows this is way easier than soldering.

Seems decently built and should do the trick but... The description and the box it comes in states “ Easy to read scale on sides of punch prevents under-crimping.” There is no such scale on the punch. So either Lincoln is wrong or this is an imitation product. “China” was the only engraving located anywhere on the crimper. I haven't used it yet but imagine it should do the job. Likely just have to pooch a couple crimps in the learning curve.

buy this you won’t regret it
great product easy to use good results. quick shipping and i am happy i ordered. as per other recommendation i used my vise and it worked perfectly. i bought bulk welding cable 2/0 which as per box is the max size. a bulk bag of lugs and i was in the battery cable business. i did buy some large shrink wrap in red and black so i could easily identify pos & neg. this really was easy. strip off a short bit of the outer insulation layer set the lug in the crimper in the vise the hold the stripped end even while cranking up the vise. shrink wrap with heat gun and cables were ready. This made my RV battery project upgrade a snap. including making a few changes along the way. I did try the hammer technique and while it did work and was a bit quicker I prefer using the vise as it holds the crimper and the lug in place while I hold the cable end in place thru the vise tightening

Clearly a used item
It arrived today, and has clearly been used before - it's covered in hammer marks. I doubt this will affect the use (and would probably have ended up marked pretty quickly anyway), but when I purchase something that's supposed to be new, I don't expect something that's been used, and has multiple cosmetic marks demonstrating that it's been used. It is also not as described, as it does not have any markings on it to indicate a proper crimp (which is stated both in the product description and on the box). If I could be bothered I'd return it to not let this company get away with ripping people off, but it would be more hassle for me to go to the post office and source a replacement! But, an inaccurate product description (or a cheap fake knock off sold in it's place), together with being clearly used before, means a single star for you.

Perfect Crush
Awesome tool! With a 2lb sledge hammer.. Just love this little crimper! I've been crimping large lugs on huge cables for car audio and it is a perfect solution. Added heat shrink to the small release handle for better comfort during use. Highly recommended!

Great product!!!
Awesome!! Needed one to properly do my big 3 upgrade on my car. This thing does what it's supposed to do and is really cheap ( price wise) compared to others online. Don't bother getting the pliers type... Smack 0 gauge 2 times with regular 21oz hammer and tadam... Perfect connection. Thank you so much
