Not the real thing, but works great
The one I got did not have the label on the handle, but was otherwise the same thing. So far I have made a crossover cable for my Xbox, 7 Mini 6" long cables for Network patching, and a couple 80 foot cables for the severs in the basement. Not one problem yet. This featers a guide for striping the right length of outer coating off, Cutter, Stripper, and Crimper. The crimper is designed so that the connector must side into the tool, and it is a pretty tight fit, but not too tight. This mean that the little prongs that come down to push the contact into the wire are always aligned. There is only one thing that I don't like about this tool, that is the little lock on top that is suppose to keep the tool closed easily comes undone and easily locks the tool on it's own, but if anything I will just remove it if it gets to be too much of a pain.

Works well, good price.
It does exactly what it's suppose to do so no major issues. The lock mechanism is rather loose and handling the crimper while locked causes it to come free. The crimping mechanism seems to apply more pressure to one side of a connector than the other, this might cause issues if you don't apply sufficient pressure but I've yet to experience any actual problems.

Works well for an inexpensive tool
This is a fairly well made tool. The wire cutter works well and is pretty sharp. The only problem is the wire stripper, it only works with the thicker cables. The thin cables are impossible to strip. The crimp portion of the tool works well if you put the jack in correctly. The only way to get a better tool is to pay 5 times the price....

Great for the $.
Just started a new job and have to run Cat5. I've never done that before. This crimper works great - no complaints. It's not flashy, fancy or special, but it works. Edit - It's pretty good for video and computer Cat5. I work on a low voltage system (West Com Nurse call) that is lower voltage than computer or video. The crimp isn't good enough for that.

Works well
Pros: - It does the job - all the different functionalities worked well - have already done about 5 cables Cons: - I could have used a manual (having never done this before it took me and my son a while to figure out...)

Very easy to use
Very easy to use. Bought these as my first pair of network cable making. Easy enough for a newbie to use and get it right.

They work great for me
Obviously not a top of the line product but it gets the job done. So far I have no complaints. It strips well, it crimps well. I don't know what more you can ask for.

great for the price
You have to clamp with a good amount of force to grip the sheath protecting the wires, but as long as you are aware of this, this tool works perfectly and the price is perfect!

Good for home hobbyists!
PROS: - cheap - solidly built, mostly metal - works well (crimped and tested a few RJ45 ends before writing this review) - blades are sharp and cut well CONS: - no instructions included; however, you can look up YouTube videos, etc. Perfect for a home hobbyist who is making their own cables or wiring their home. I buy long lengths and cut and crimp my own to make cheaper, shorter patch cables, so this pays for itself after a few cables. If you're a tradesperson or IT installer, you'll probably want a (more expensive) ratcheting crimper, to cut down on the effort. This one works best if using two hands to fully press down on the plug, which is no big deal for wiring your home, but a "cable guy" wiring an office/warehouse/etc and looking at crimping 60 plugs one afternoon would want a ratcheting crimper that's easier on their hands and faster (can crimp one handed)

Basic crimper for simple networking
About as bare bones a crimper as you can get, it cuts, it strips, it crimps... but only the Cat5/RJ45 cables common in simple networking. Does the job, but I think it is a tad weak - you have to put a bit of elbow grease into it to squeeze the handles and firmly connect the head to the wires. On other crimpers I have used that extra effort is not required. You cannot do RJ11, RJ12... only 8P8C heads fit in it. And that is fine, as long as you know that going in.

Gets the job done.
Worked flawlessly for the project I was doing. I'm sure the more expensive brands might be a bit easier to crimp? Maybe? But hey if you're like me and only need them once in a blue moon just get these. They do the trick. I used them with the 100 pack of Monoprice RJ-45 Modular Plugs and had no issues. The plugs are all outside in the elements and hell even some of them were covered in water when giving power through POE and they still work. Nuts!

Works well, surpassed my expectations
Crimped 20 cables with this tool and it worked perfectly! That being said, on a few crimps I had to squeeze multiple times for it to crimp properly. I would say that this product is for amateur/hobbyist use only and would recommend it to anyone who needs a crimper to make a few cables for the house. If you are a professional and will be making hundreds of cables, I would suggest spending a little extra and getting a good ratchet style crimper.

good price. Better value compared to other crimpers
Works well, good price. Better value compared to other crimpers; the blade for cutting around the outer jacket of the cable seems to be the one feature separating the good quality crimpers with the decent amount of features from the bare bones versions. I discovered I most missed having that component when it was not available on the other crimpers.
