Now would be a good time to make an upgraded but also low-cost version of this

I got it today and after a few hours it didn't take me long to figure out other than the size, one big reason this one only costs $50 is it doesn't have any of air quality monitoring features. Without that, there's no need to have any Auto On/Off or Sleep Mode features. In exchange, this one IS an Energy Saver. That's also why this one can be sold for just $50. At its core, it does everything the more costly models do though. I'd like to see an upgraded version of this for less than $100. I've seen other companies roll out several air filters WITH air quality monitoring for under $100 so I know it's very possible. The only reason I bought this one over another brand is because of how highly rated this one was. The upgraded version should have air quality monitoring + Auto On/Off + Sleep Mode. That would be a minimum. Air Quality indicators could flash from Red (Poor) to Yellow (Moderator) to Green (Good) to Blue (Optimal). I would also add either a rechargable Ion Lithium battery or the ability to add Alkaline Batteries so it can run if there is a power outage. That aside. While it's advised by manifacturers not to run an air humidifier while also running air purifiers due to the risk of mold developing on the filter, it should be ok in this case and more so if both devices are on opposite ends of the room and are at different elevations. A big clue I got from this is the fact it's advised you don't have this running directly under or next to a running air conditioner. I have a small portable USB powered air humidifier on my night stand (runs on one speed). I set up the air purifier on the other side of my room on the floor next to my computer desk. I'm not worried about the filter getting compromised since it's at a lower elevation than the humidifier on the other side of my bedroom and my bedroom is large enough to pull it off. I'll have it run on High when I'm in the room, Medium when I'm sleeping and Low when I'm not in my room. I have two desk fans to help with circulation so I'm prettymuch set. One big thing I would add: This model IS an energy saver though oddly this detail is not noted in the product description anywhere. Most would feel more comfortable running it 24/7 if they knew this in advance. I found out when I took it out of the box and saw the sticker on the front. All that said. As long as you regularly clean the filter you can significantly extend its lifespan. More so since replacement filters cost $25. I actually reccommend buying a replacement filter in advance so you can replace it when the time comes. If you have a vaccum, that's the optimal way to clean it. Otherwise, use a dry cloth or material after you shake it over a trash can/bag. It's advised you replace the filter after 6 months though the manufacturer admits in answers to some questions if you don't use it much you can hold that off for much longer.

1 in Small salon studio, 1 in bedroom

I bought 2 units. This air purifier will replace 170 square feet per hour, and my studio is roughly 140 square feet. When I come in, I turn it on level 2 and you cannot hear the fan over the background music I play. In my child’s bedroom, they turn it on overnight, and level 2 is a subtle white noise. Level 3 is a bit loud for bedtime in a bedroom. In the salon, I have a client who will cough because they are sensitive to hairspray, and they don’t cough when the fan is running, so I truly believe this purifier is working! It doesn’t give you any indication on the air quality, it just gives you basic fan speeds. For the price, it is great for a medium sized room.

Awesome!

My cat stays in just my bedroom and the room can get quite stuffy and dusty without having a litter box and cat hair all over the place. This definitely keeps the air in the room fresh, I’ve been vacuuming it gently about once a week and it’s crazy to see how much this little thing sucks up! Probably wouldn’t work for a bigger space, but it’s perfect for a single room. Also want to mention the noise level is not even noticeable. On its highest setting it’s quieter than any regular room fan, on its lowest setting I don’t even notice it and I tend to hate background noises.

Easy to use, but also limited

I bought two of these. One in my bedroom and one in my study. The picture shows the one in the study with a broken scent dispenser. It is broken because I did everything to open it and nothing worked. It seemed fused shut so I used a tiny screwdriver to pry it open. It appeared sealed and not fully cut by the factory. Now it will not go back in properly. My other unit works fine. What can I do? I wish the device had an indicator that is was on. Many times it stayed on longer than I intended because it looked like it was off. If I had it to do over I would replace these units with more features. Best little purifier ever!

I rent a room. The last tenant was a smoker! Ughhh! They may have not smoked in the room itself, but the smell has seeped into the paint and carpet. Carpet, another negative with allergies! To shorten the story, I have a fresher room now. Allergens are down, and the smoke smell has dissipated after 2 months of continual use. The noise level is NOT quiet, but it is NOT noisey. Since I actually use it 24/7 it is a softer "white noise" I enjoy. The tray this unit has for essential oils is useless. Its a waste to buy pads, and a waste of precious essential oils! This unit is friendly room decor, meaning it pretty much blends in everywhere. And not obnoxious to look at. Aside from the essential oil tray, it does the job and would recommend. I did purchase an extra filter at the time I bought this unit and have not had to change it out yet. Then again its only been 2 months at 24/7. There has been a couple of exceptions I have shut it down and that was when I went out if town. Nothing gets left on then...nothing!

I love it!

So I read the reviews and I ordered this air purifier for my bedroom. Operating instructions easy. The only essential oil I had handy was a pillow mist so I used that. I set it to III I thought it quiet but then I sleep with a tower fan on so not a big deal. If the purifier is on sleep, you can’t hear it at all. I have animals, allergies and on average barely sleep 5-6 hours per night. First night I slept 10 hours. Room smells better. I ordered another one for daughter’s room.

Another great Levoit product. Perfect for the space

I needed an air purifier for my bathroom, as the cats' litter box is in there and it can get dusty. Enter the Levoit air purifier. My humidifiers are made from Levoit, so I decided to buy their air purifier. Very glad I did. It fits nicely on the counter and does a nice job cleaning the air. I've noticed less dust in the bathroom since installing it.

Very quiet for sleep and so economical at 7 watts.

OK, so I bought this.... it was not a product supplied free for a review – I paid for this! I want a purifier that I can sleep with; we should not get into talking of a wife at this point of course. This thing is quiet; very quiet, it also is 7 watts which means that you can run it all night; the wattage is less than your WIFI. This works well, on the bottom (sleep) mode it provides a gentle purified breeze into the bedroom, that is all I wished for; so works for me. Can you hear it?, not really on number 1. Great for a good nights sleep knowing that it is so cheap to run at 7 watts.

Perfect for a small room and noticeably reduces dust and alergies.

I have used this for a few months now with noticeable effect. I keep it near the bed and put it on full blast half hour before I sleep and keep it on the low setting while sleeping. The sound is noticeable (as it is right by the bed) but not something that effects sleep, it just becomes white noise. If it was a meter away I doubt I would notice it at all. I no longer get a cough/sneeze at night and breathing difficulties have lessened. It especially helps when I have pets in the room, I can sleep at night after the cats have been in the room with no trouble if I put this on while they are here. The filter doesn't even look dirty so have not had to replace it yet and haven't noticed any loss in function in 5 months. Also I like that the air is pushed out at the top, no unwanted wind/draft to make me feel cold no matter where I put it.

Works well

This is the 2nd Levoit air purifier purchased. This smaller unit for an office. Works well and replacement filters are readily available on Amazon. We have two larger versions, one on main floor and one in basement. The unit fan does have noise but doesn’t cause you to have to talk over it. It does not keep us from sleeping but we aren’t light sleepers. Allergies are better, no longer see the floating dust in a beam of sunlight!

Great thing

I bought this as my asthma had been playing up. I've had it about a week now and my chest is already better. The first 2 modes are super quiet but mode 3 is a but too noisy for me. I thought I'd smell more of the oil I've added, I can smell it but it's subtle. I nearly bought a more expensive air purifier but I read the reviews on this one and went with it. I'm glad I did, cheap and works brilliantly. Worth every penny, im thinking I getting another one so I don't have to keep moving this 1.
