It sands, like really really well
I've used this now on a few projects, and I'm in love with it. It sands so well, is super comfortable, and has my favorite quality: I just use it and don't have to think or worry about it. The built-in dust collection is surprisingly great. I haven't gotten around to hooking it up to my vacuum yet and really have probably delayed because it worked so well as-is. I haven't had another wood working tool like that. It's a solid price point and I can't imagine another brand's device being any better than this. If I lost or broke it, I'd turn around and buy the exact same one.

Received in beat-up packaging. Appears functional. Clearly used, see photos. Disc and handle worn. Will test performance during warranty period. Purchased as NEW, appears to be false advertising by SELLER.

DISAPPOINTING
Being a Bosch product, I was expecting a decent quality item. This was disappointing as the dust collector cover would not stay on. Have a dust collector was the major selling point of purchasing this. I returned the item and locally purchased a Makita instead.

What can I say it's a Bosch
Bosch is an excellent tool. It will always get a 5 star with me. I have been doing wooodworking for at least 50 years and the first bosch I bought sold me on the quality of the tool.

Not happy!!
The media could not be loaded. Disappointed I use sanders machines for my work everyday, I was looking for something that can sand fast and without marks, unfortunately this sander is not good at all. The dust collector is terrible!! Impossible to take out and connect again properly, I tried the vacuum connection and doesn't work either. This sander works very bad, you can't do any pressure because stop, and if you don't pressure doesn't sand well, so it's just very bad. I don't recommend it. Maybe is just this machine that is defective, I don't know. I hope I can return it.

Initial Impressions not good
Item was purchased as NEW. Its packaging was damaged (but sealed with a "Bosch Original" label). The tool had obvious cosmetic damage on its casing. Based on the seal this seems to be a Bosch problem (re-selling a "used" too as new) not an Amazon one. I will evaluate the functional aspects of the tool over the next few days and decide whether to return for a refund or not (thank you Amazon for the return policy!!). It will be hard to compare it to what it should be but I will look at other performance reviews and see what my experience is. Initial impressions not good.

Brand I can trust.
My old skil sander finally quit working after 5 years use. Brought a cheap one here but cause nothing but troubles. Decided to buy a name brand which is decent but not cost a lot. Compared lots of different brands and finally decide with Bosch. Decent performance. Does the job well. Dust collection performed well. Only complaint is it is hard to open the duct bin lid to dump the dust.

Not a new item....missing carrying case
So, I haven't plugged this sander in just yet, but am super disappointed in the shape that it arrived. This item has most definitely been previously used and I do not appreciate that it's being sold as new. And it did not come with the carrying case as per description.

Defective product no support
I had used this sander 3 times. The fourth time I tried to use it it would not turn on. I contacted Bosch support and was advised the unit was still under warranty and to send it out to be repaired by their authorized repair dealer. I sent the unit to the Bosch authorized repair dealer. After 2 months I had no word from either party. I again contacted Bosch support and was advised to contact the repair dealer directly. I contacted the repair dealer and was told that they had made the repairs. When I attempted to use the “repaired “ unit , it again would not turn on. I tried turning it off and on several times and rotating the pad manually. The unit started to operate at a low speed and would stall out when I attempted to use it. It took two attempts over three days to contact Bosch before they responded. At this point I was told to send the unit back to their repair dealer. I advised Bosch that it was not acceptable to me to send the unit in again as the unit was not repaired properly the first time and was now arcing and sparking when turned on and was unsafe to operate. I requested a refund. I have reached out to Bosch support three times for a response to the request for a refund. They have not responded. I am very disappointed in both the product and the ( lack of) Bosch support!
