Fairly easy to connect wires to it

Price is a little steep for just an end connector. But not a lot of options if you want to make your own cords. You can buy an entire 6ft - 16 gauge extension cord at a big box Retail store for about the same price as one of these end connectors.

A functional cheap solution

Restored a mangled extension cord. Dropped one star because the screw terminals could be better - would be nice to have an upper plate to sandwich the wire instead of just the screw. But can't complain too much for a cheap fix.

Great product for the price

I have always soldered extension cord plugs and this is my first screw attachment plug I have used. Hardest part is stripping the wire to expose the bare wire to wrap around the screw. Took me about 45 seconds to strip the wires, attach them to the screws and place the plug back into the housing. Works like a charm.

Does not grip the cable. Can easily rip wires…

Issue with this plug design is that the round electric wire is not gripped. Meaning the plug is attached to the extension wire by the 3 individual wires. In other words if you yank the plug from the wall by pulling on the wire you may strip the wires from the internal screws and cause a short. Also there is no space inside between the yellow insert and orange body in the back to run the thick wire. Poor internal design.

I needed one, but its little expensive.

Got it for my LED mirror in the washroom. This one is build good and easy to install, but little pricy for that.

I tinned each wire with the ends curving to the right, as you should. Hook the wire in the slot just below to add some support for the wire. The plug comes with a nice indent for grasping when plugging and unplugging. Even though it doesn't have a cord clamp, you shouldn't unplug by yanking the cord anyway. Goes back together nicely if you take your time to get all the stripping lengths right. I like these because they are compact with not huge ends.
