Here be the pirate hat for you

I had read the hat came flattened but this was not the case for me. It fits well and the ribbon was not sewn in so I can change to to fit the rest of my costume. I love it

It's a pretty awesome hat.

It's definitely a costume hat, and it serves that purpose well. The hat feels like its base is made of a flexible foam (to hold the shape). It's wrapped in black velvet (all of the black you see is velvet). Black lace outlines the rim of the hat on top. On the rim of the hat, all the way around, a gold pattern is stitched. The Ribbons are thick, saturated red, and high quality. The bows really bring the whole ensemble together. I found the hat to fit very well, it wasn't too big or too small. Some stuff you can't know from the picture: The sides of the hat are attached by small, black velcro squares (on the inside where you can't see) to the sides of the top of the hat (where your head goes in). This just helps the hat maintain its pirate shape. :) So, if you want, you can unfasten them to let the sides down to get a big rim hat. When you first get the hat, it comes in a big box in its original packaging. I noticed (just from it sitting in the box for a while, I guess) it came out shaped flat (bottom of the hat could sit on a flat plane.) I fixed that easily: I just bent it back into it's curved shape and held it for a while. And then I wore it around my house for a while and it resumed its curved shape. :) Also, the top of the hat (where your head goes in) is flat on top. In the picture, it kind of looks like the top of the hat makes a tall point, but the actual hat does not have that. I didn't even notice until I looked at the picture. Really, it's not a big deal, I think the hat looks better this way, honestly. All-in-all, it's a great hat. Good quality, so I will get plenty of uses out of it. I had no problems with the seller. The hat arrived very quickly! :) One satisfied customer!

Great pirate hat!

This was a great hat for my pirate costume. I just had eye surgery and needed to wear a patch. The hat fit securely even with my big Texas hair. Fun addition to my costume.

The hat is very cute. I will have to make some adjustments such as in the front where the point of the hat is sewn together it didn't look right where it was. Also the hat is not bendable as i saw someone post. Only fabric no wires. Lace doesn't really stand up so well so I am going to try some starch or mod podge stiffening spray on it to see if that helps. And in the picture it looks like the hat has the black feather plume on the side and did not.. No biggie as I went to hobby lobby and bought one for cheap. If you want this for just a Halloween costume or same instance this hat will be great on its own... This is for my pirate themed wedding in June and going to make it a bit fancier. Also the ribbon bows on the sides can be changed out to different color or taken off completely very easily as they are tied on through grommets on the sides. Velcro tabs also are on the sides to put the rim up or keep down.

Cute affordable Pirate hat

It was a little tight. But I have ALOT of hair. The shape was odd to me, it felt a bit like a boat on my head and it came a little bent from shipping. But I fixed that pretty easily. I LOVED the ribbons and lace. The ribbons are interchangeable if you want different colors. This matched my outfit very well and served it's purpose at a great price. The material is a velvety material.

Large and so loose it kept turning on my head and falling off

This hat looks very nice, however, it has a pretty big flaw they could easily fix. It does not have any elastic band inside to help keep it relatively secure to your head. It’s quite large, so it will constantly shift on your head and fall off. It’s that loose! The company needs to add the simple elastic sizers. I was going to add them myself, but the hat overall is also kind of large and floppy.

Beautiful hat

My daughter dressed up as a pirate for Halloween and this hat looked amazing. It also fit well.

Pretty Good

It came in the mail completely smooshed and bent out of shape. With fifteen minutes of reshaping it it seems nice. It does not have a stiff frame that you put your head in. It it just the material cut the way it needs for your head so if you like hats with a solid place to put your head this is not for you. If you do not mind a more flexible frame it will work great. I think for me it is going to work well because I will be wearing a wig as well.
