Initially we used counters to match up with the cards. This gave visual reinforcement, increasing physical understanding of written number connections. Written numbers alone can seem surreal, physically handling objects made them real. We made our own cards, increasing possibilities for whole tables. Superb game for the entire family, which also gives surreptitious table practice without the word... 'tables!".
