Great For Apartments - Here's Some Instructions
My apartment had a shower arm that came out around my shoulders. Needless to say, I needed something taller. This extension did the trick! Don't be afraid of installation! Very easy, and doesn't take long at all. Here's the materials and steps you'll need to get the job done: - 1 New Shower Arm - 4 Inches of "Plumber's Tape" - 1 or 2 pairs of Pipe Pliers (Channellocks) - 1 Flathead Screwdriver 1. Use flathead screwdriver to pry old cap away from shower wall 2. Use pipe pliers to turn old shower arm counter clockwise, and out of the wall. If you live in an apartment, save this to put back on when you move out. 3. Apply plumber's tape to the new shower arm on both ends. (Be sure to apply it so the end of the piece you put on is facing the proper way so it doesn't peel up when you put it on!) 4. Slide the new cap onto the new shower arm on the side that goes into the wall. (The side that has the right angle goes into the wall) 5. Screw new shower arm into wall. 6. Screw shower head onto new shower arm. (You can reuse your old shower head, or use a new one. Be sure you use a pressure regulator if required) 7. Turn the shower on, and inspect for leaks at each end of the pipe. 8. Push new cap against the wall.

Great for tall people!
Standard 1/2" NPT threads like all showers for the last 20 years. High quality and great looking brushed nickel. Matches the brushed nickel shower head thats on it in the picture. Great for tall people. Happy I did this instead of getting an adjustable one with the arm which sounds like it would be a bad idea due to moving parts too much. This gets us the extra height with just one piece unlike some of the other risers that are like 3 pieces that move up down and in out. If its too tight or too loose when you get to the top when youre screwing it in, adjust the amount of teflon tape youre using less or more and it will make it stop in the perfect spot so its straight up and down!!!

Won't work great if the wall is too thick.
This did exactly what I wanted - after I installed a diverter and handheld nozzle onto my existing shower head, it was too low. I bought this to raise it back up. The problem was that the fitting was too far back in my wall - taking into account the drywall and tiles covering it - so the flange didn't actually fit around the s-curve to be flush against the wall. I had to cut it (it's thin, so that was easy) and slip it around the neck, then just use a lot of caulk to waterproof it. No problems that I know of so far, though.

Nice finish for the money
Nice finish, good threads. 90 degree end could be 1/4" longer to reach deep plumbing under tiles. Mine barely made it and the escutcheon just squeezed into place.

Helps add about a foot higher for better coverage.
We are in the final stages of remodeling and product fits as intended. Helps with raising the height of our shower head. The finish is just what I was looking for. It even provides the flange to cover around the pipe.

Very strong & fits perfectly
I have been looking for one of these forever! It adds at least 6+" to the height of my shower. I am only 5'7 but my shower was still too low for me. Not cheap materials and zero leaks. Thanks!

Great for Apartments!
Perfect for apartments or home with low shower heads. I'm 6'1" and it raised the shower head several inches above my head now. Beat part is because of the "S" design it doesn't push you out to the middle of the shower. Still a short reach for the water controls. Took about 5 minutes to install hardest part was getting the old extension out of the wall.

Works great
We had a ridiculously low shower head in our bathroom, and this did exactly what we needed. Very easy to install, and matches the brushed nickel finishes. No more kneeling to rinse my hair!
