Inexpensive, But Looks Rich Installed.

I didn't need the solid brass construction of the high end versions of this item. While it is nearly entirely made of plastic, it is very attractive and completely functional. The large screw that clamps the upper and lower halves to the sink hole is chrome. I didn't like the looks of it against the dark bronze, so I roughed it up with fine sandpaper and painted it. I think it looks much better that way. You can't see much of the white PVC interior of the lower half, so I left it that way. But, it could easily be painted. Overall, I am very pleased with how it looks in our sink.

Well the product was fairly easy to install once I got clarification from the manufacturer. There are two sets of instructions, one on the package and one inserted into the packaging that are in conflict with each other. The one on the package says to use plumber putty around the strainer. The one inserted in the packaging say use of plumber's putty voids the warranty. Huh??? Emailed the company. no phone number on their website, and was surprised to get an almost immediate response. Found out which was right and proceeded to install. Thankfully I had a new tail pipe around as the old one was too small. The new strainer was slightly smaller than the original. Completed install and it looks okay. Will see with time how it performs as others have said they have seen cracks shortly after installation.

Great look, matches well.

The drain looks great, I am still deciding what I think about the metal center holder that does not match the sink, it looks a little strange, also the bottom of the stopper is plastic, I am not confident this will hold up for a long time, but we just installed it, so I do not know yet. It looks very nice when the stopper is in place.

No replacement strainer available

I like this strainer it matches my white sink. This is the second I have had to buy, the first lasted about two years and I had to buy this entire unit to replace the strainer. The strainer is not apparently available separately even after calling manufacture.

PVE body ... hmm how about plastic everything. I guess I glossed over the "PVC" in the title because it was preceded with "HEAVY DUTY". I would NOT call this heavy duty. I just hope it's heavy duty enough for my utility sink because I installed it. Wasn't sure I wanted to deal with the hassle of returning it but if I'd been at a brick-and-mortar store NO I would not have bought this.

Color not quite Almond...

The item is well made, but I ordered it specifically because of the Almond color to match a Kohler porcelain sink. It is not. It is more of a dark Bisque. The packaging is labeled Almond. Wish I had tried another brand...

Not bad for the price

Used them for a cast iron kitchen sink. Had to use plumbers' putty and found I could not get a watertight deal with the paper gaskets. The plugs are a bit finicky. Have to be put in just right to hold the water.

plastic, but it works

This is just cheap plastic but it installed like a dream and looks great. I used caulking between cup and sink with no issues. We'll see how long it lasts.

"Heavy Duty"...ish

Discoloured after pouring boiling water down the drain, as you do in kitchens. Not heavy duty enough to withstand heat it seems. Very annoyed. No I need to tear the plumbing apart and replace it with a better product. Not for use in kitchens.
