Bad installation instructions

Try screwing the handles on without being able to remove them. This should come with an offset Philips screwdriver. Instructions show a straight screwdriver to tighten which is impossible. Every other handle I've ever assemble allowed for removal of the handle in order to tighten or remove. Once I got them on they were fine. They give the "key" but not the screwdriver. Mine are tight but with their installation manner, the heads of the screwed may be slightly stripped.

Got these for my daughter so she could lock her brothers out of her room. Easy to install and use. Nice that it come with the “key” to unlock from outside the room if needed

Nice update to our back door. We like that there is no lock to accidentally get locked. We have a deadbolt and don’t need a handle lock too.

Knob dented slightly. Inspect these when they arrive.

The box did have a buckled corner from shipping. The bigger concern is there's a dent on a knob the packaging is crumpled, dented, and still sealed. I bet something happened where they are made. I got this on a sale, So think these had been re-packaged it wasn't noted outwardly its a repackaged item in the listing. It's not a deal breaker for me, they were at a great deal when I bought them. They are to upgrade knobs to storage areas vs more busier living areas.

Works great, easy to instal, screws on wrong side of knob though

I needed to find a good knob with a simple lock on it to replace the old one on my bedroom. I didn't need anything fancy just something that I could use to simply lock the door when I wanted privacy and that would look nice and fit into the existing hole already in the door from the previous knob. Well this fit the bill nicely. The brass is clean looking and has a nice grip on it. Good quality for the price paid. It fit perfectly into the existing hole and I didn't even have to change the inner parts already in the door as it fit perfectly with the existing. No need to worry about different sized parts or plates that would have to be constantly tweaked. I just unscrewed the old one and popped this one into place, tightened the screws and the knob worked perfectly. Must have taken about 5 or so minutes for me to complete the process. The knob turns both ways from both sides of the door and the lock works as intended. You can't open the door from either side with the lock in place and you can't lock it from the other side so you can't really make a mistake of locking your door accidentally. It does come with an emergency key that you can use in the hole if you by some chance to have the door locked after you close it from the other end. The only negative for me here is that the screws are located on the other side of the door (side without the lock). Meaning that if someone really wanted to get into the room all they would have to do is unscrew the knob from the other end to remove it. Not sure why they would put the screws on the other side of the knob. Most knobs I have seen have the screws on the same side of the lock for that purpose. That would be the only negative here. It could also be my fault not realizing that you have to also choose a knob that has the screws on the same side of the lock but why they would offer it the other way, is beyond me. Ruins the point of a knob with a lock if someone can just unscrew it if they really wanted to get in badly enough. But definitely a good knob and I'm happy with it. It fit perfectly and works just as well. Just realize the screws are on the other side of the door before your purchase this as that could be a problem for those who want total security with this. If you aren't really worried about someone unscrewing the knob from the other side of the door (I'm not so I'll keep it) then you have nothing to worry about. It's perfect for a simple knob with simple turn lock on it for a bathroom or bedroom door.

Excellent replacement knob if you require internal locking

I purchased this to replace a very old bedroom door knob at my mother's house. I've never installed a door knob before but I had the job done in about five minutes. Super easy process, just take out the old hardware and replace with the new stuff in reverse order. The knob feels sturdy and has a quality feel to it, which also supposedly has some antimicrobial properties. The internal locking mechanism works great. No issues at all. Also comes with a tool to open the lock from the outside if ever required. I'll be purchasing more of these in the future.
