Pros: The blade is very sharp with a month long usage so far. Seems to be stainless steel and rust proof. Cons: Too pricey. The photo makes it look like the handle is thick and solid. It is not. The bottom side is stamped (dust pan structure) and uncomfortable to hold due to its rough edges. It’s also too lightweight.

Sharp!
I needed a peeler that could handle Seminole pumpkin squash. It’s a very hard winter squash that my husband loves roasted. This is the first peeler that actually peels the squash quite easily. All my other peelers could hardly get through the peel and I’d end up using a knife to cut the peel off. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because on some things like apples, the peel gets caught in the blade and it’s quite annoying to have to keep pulling the peel out of the blade. If you want SHARP, this is it.

My daughter-in-law, a gourmet cook, loves this gadget because it will outlast her.
If a young bride receives this for a wedding gift, it will still in use when she celebrates her 50th anniversary. That is how good this product is.

It peels well, but I'm always afraid the handle will also peel my palm.
I do like this product, and the price I paid was good. It peels very well, and my spouse really likes it. She'd probably rate it an extra star. The reason I only give it three is because it hurts my hand to use because of the handle. The handle looks like a stamped piece of metal with edges that are rounded on one side and sharp on the other which is the 'hollow' side. At this price point, asking for a solid handle of the same size is probably out, but that's what it would take for me to enjoy using this. Actually, I won't use it because it's so uncomfortable in my hands (smallish male hands) even as it feels very comfortable to my spouse's smaller hands. Should you buy it? In my view, it's worth a shot. It's very sharp, but it may totally not work for you, so be forewarned.

Awesome peeler
If ease of peeling is what you are looking for this is the tool for you. Although the material is thin and not exactly pretty this thing works great! It's the best peeler I've ever owned. I bought it to peel butternut squash and I had them all done in record time. Just be careful... as quick as it peels vegetable it will also peel the skin of the end of your thumb if you are careless. Ask me how I know! I didn't give it 5 stars due to the thin material of the handle but it didn't bother me when I was working with it.

A disappointment...expected better from Kuhn Rikon.
I bought this specifically because Kuhn Rikon generally has very good quality. When I opened the package I was shocked at how flimsy the peeler was. The handle was not sturdy at all. It felt like a piece of cheap stamped metal. The handle was hollow and the edges sharp. It was uncomfortable to hold and was sharp enough on the edge that I was concerned about cutting myself while using it. This is not up to the usually high quality from Kuhn Rikon and was overpriced on top of the poor quality...Pass on this peeper . There is much better quality for less money...

The best peeler you will ever own.
This peeler is a definite upgrade. I owned and used many of Kuhn Rikon's original plastic peelers, and even though they were great, after extensive use, the plastic joints holding the blade in place would wear and, in some cases, break. However, I believe that this stainless steel version will last much longer. Peeling legumes with this tool is a breeze, and chefs throughout the world will attest to that. It's a pricey yet essential product, and it works like a charm.

Best peeler on earth!
I was GUTTED when my peeler broke. It was the same as this, and I’d had it for 22 years. I used it when I was a professional chef so it had had some wear! Imagine my joy when I found they still made them and the design hadn’t changed! Simply the best peeler. So sharp…beware!

I have bought quite a few of these peelers ceramic ,steel plastic , all of them never came anywhere near this one it just brilliant you will be amazed how easy it is to peel any vegetables even potatoes with eyes slices through with no effort and the peel is so thin you would think you had used a razor blade
