This skillet came apart after 8 months of use
For the price we were hoping this skillet would last for more than a year. The bottom came off after 8 months of use!

Good heat transfer, easy to clean
This is a good, small frying pan, great for cooking for one. The aluminum transfers heat evenly to the contents of the pan, and the non-stick coating works fairly well (I use a non-stick spray when cooking particularly sticky foods like egg whites, but with that extra help the food comes cleanly out of the pan with no residue). The handle provides great thermal protection, and I have no problem picking up the pan with hot food in it without requiring a hot pad. It is also easy to clean, with a simple swipe of a soapy sponge being all that is required in most cases. The only negative thing I have to say is that it was not properly shipped. It arrived loose in a box far too large for it, with only a single strip of air pockets providing vastly insufficient padding. As a result, my pan arrived dented on the side away from the handle. That hasn't affected its utility, though, and despite the flaw it's become one of my go-to pans in the kitchen.

Great cooking pan, environmentally friendly, versatile in it’s uses, ceramic reinforced coating
This review is for the Kuhn Rikon New Life Re-Cycled Aluminium Non-Stick Induction Frying Pan, 11 inch/28 cm, Black. I use this particular pan on our induction stove top, and so far I have been really impressed with it’s performance. The weight of the pan was a little heavier than I anticipated, but that is due to the thick metal base plate required for induction cooking to work. It heats up really well, evenly spreads the heat across the entire bottom surface, without any isolated hot spot areas. The best way to see this yourself is to cook a couple of fried eggs to see how evenly they cook all around in the pan without having to rearrange them. The way the sides are shaped, it is almost like a mini-wok. It’s perfect for when you are piling up vegetables to saute in the pan, and is designed for easy flip-tosses. While not as hot as the bottom surface, the aluminum does transfer the heat up and around the taller sides as well. Their non-stick coating has 3 layers, including a ceramic reinforced coating. It also contains no PFOAs, NMPs, or SVHCs. And the best part is that it is dishwasher safe! It’s a great cooking pan, environmentally friendly, versatile in it’s uses, and a good addition to any kitchen.

Very good multi-use pan
I have a big family and we do a lot of cooking. I need a pan that cooks evenly, because I've got a lot of food to cook, and it needs to clean up easy. This pan satisfies on both points. For me this pan is used mostly for sides dishes, with an 11 inch pan reserved for mains, but sometimes I'll use it along with my main pan to get more done faster. I like that the thick aluminum base does a good job of distributing heat evenly. You do need to watch it because it responds quickly to change in heat, unlike a cast iron pan with a smoother thermal ramp. It would be easy to burn something if you don't pay attention. It's mostly recycled aluminum which is cool considering the large amount of electricity needed to make raw aluminum. The ceramic non-stick coating seems pretty good so far. With non-stick you really need a year of use to see where you are at. Right now I'm a few weeks in and it's holding up well. It's smooth enough for delicate things like eggs, though not glass smooth. I have a cheap but super smooth pan that I use almost exclusively for low-heat delicate things like eggs, so this isn't a big issue for me. Overall this a well made and versatile pan that's a good work horse for almost any kitchen. I've got a few Kuhn Rikon pans and they've all held up well, so I'm optimistic that this one will last as well.

Non-Stick, Universal, Green
I don't own very many pans above one hundred dollars, but I am certainly impressed with this one. The non-stick coating is resilient and textured, which makes control of your food easy. My chicken breasts don't go sliding around, but still remove without sticking to the pan. It's novel. I've cleaned it by hand with a soap wand (nothing metal) and it cleans very easily as well. Even sauces that seem baked to the pan wash off with ease. The pan is weighty for aluminum. It feels quality. I got the 11 inch for maximum cooking area and it is quite large enough to cook for two. Despite the size, the heat distributes well throughout the pan. Food cooks evenly. The pan is made from recycled aluminum. It comes from cans and such. I believe this is worth a slight premium. It is also made in Switzerland. I love this. I have been using this on a glass-top stove, but it supports all stove types according to the packaging. If there is one drawback it is the handle. It is cool to the touch while cooking, but seems to wobble horizontally slightly. A bit worrying. I will update this review if anything comes of it. For now I have suffered no drawbacks. This is a good, solid, responsible pan. I have been glad to use it.

Very Nice Pan
Appearance: This is a very well-made pan. The non-stick coating is even and it's pretty hefty too. I got the 11-inch version - and it's very nice. Assembly: This comes well-packaged by the manufacturer. Remove the packaging and give it a good wash and dry. It's ready for use. Thoughts: This is a nice pan. I've been using it sparingly because it's just a nice piece. I'm learning to get over that and use it more. So far, it's be very easy to clean. I haven't had a problem getting melted cheese or eggs off the bottom. I have a gas range and the pan heats super evenly as well. Definitely a good value, this should last for quite a long time. 5/5 Overall: Very Nice Pan

Nice
This pan is sturdy and has a good feel in your hands. It has a recycled aluminum non-stick coating. The handle is plastic, which stays cool as you cook. We cook a lot and have a full spectrum of pans from OK to great. This is on the "great" side. Glad to have it.

New Life Recycling Pfanne unsere Küche.
