Easy Install but…

Very satisfied with this faucet. It works great and was relatively easy to install. Tightening the faucet down to the countertop without having to tightening a nut from underneath was ingenious! We did have a couple of minor issues: 1) The instructions are not complete. There is no mention of connecting the open ends of the nozzle hose pull-through though it is, admittedly, pretty obvious what needed to be done. The instructions also fail to mention the importance of the hot and cold water line placement when passed through the counter to underneath, 2) It is very easy to pinch the hot or cold water lines if not fed properly through the counter. The hot line was just dribbling after we thought we had installed the faucet properly. After much trepidation and head-scratching, we figured out that the hot water line was mispositioned and pinched by the bracket where it passed through the countertop. We loosened the faucet and repositioned the water lines and that fixed the problem. I rated sturdiness as 4-star but that really needs the test of time and daily use.

Some finer points for consideration

If you are debating between this and a faucet with a separate sprayer and pot filler, this replaced one of those and this is much more convenient because that pot filler was usually in the way when I wanted to use the sprayer. Installation for this is much easier than my last one because you drop in the base holder from the top, not bottom, and tighten it from the top, not from under the sink. So the only under the sink work required is connecting lines to hot and cold supply. Seriously, unless you have money to burn, you would kick yourself for paying a plumber to install this if you stand there watching him if you are remotely capable of DIY. It comes with two allen wrenches, and you just need a Philips head screwdriver to tighten the base mount, then you put the whole faucet over that base and secure to the base with an allen screw. The only problems you might encounter with DIY is if you supply values are seized, which you can check beforehand, or if your existing supply lines somehow are frozen to your valve, but again you can check that easily with a wrench. When you turn this on, it defaults to full pour--you have to tap the button for spray. Once you toggle the button, it continues spraying or pouring until toggled again, so you don't have to hold it. When you pull it out of the box, the button may seem flimsy, but under pressure it works well. Under the sink, you add a counterweight to the tube, which allows it to retract fully. I have a large single basin farmhouse sink. You can pull the spray handle across and down literally to every corner. Unlike my prior sprayer, this one has a pivoting ball mount which allows you to tilt the handle to reach in any direction without needing to twist the hose. In fact, the reason why I bought this is because that twisting motion after 3 years broke the hose and started spraying water across the room. Thank goodness that happened within a minute of use and I was standing next to it, because it could have done that for hours. The on/off handle design is meant to be on the side. It moves 25 degrees away for hot and 65 degrees forward for cold. This works well for me because I happen to have a raised countertop directly behind the sink, and this asymmetry keeps the handle from bumping it. You could easily install the base 90 degrees to the left, so you turn left to right instead of front to back, but the hot/cold is reversed in that configuration. Also, in my under-counter configuration, the weight bumped into some lines. So the intended configuration is really better. Spray pressure is not quite as forceful as my last one. I mean maybe it is 95% of what I had. Still quite enough, but of course your experience depends on your water pressure supply. I did not see anything in the instructions that would allow me to remove/replace a fitting to alter pressure. Once tightened down, I see I may want to add some silicon caulk around the base because there is a slight gap which will collect crud over time. The base mount comes with a rubber seal to prevent water from leaking through your hole in the counter.

Beautiful but flawed.

I love this faucet design. The sleek shape and color are exactly what we wanted. One major issue was that the paint comes off the base plate very soon after purchase. It also came off the soap dispenser. We do not use anything abrasive. The company has very good support. They replaced both very quickly. But unless the paint has been improved, then we can look forward to the same issue. We're happy we did not commit to bath and shower fixtures. But we want to. So....what do we do?

Good but not perfect

It’s only been a few months, and already the black anodizing is coming off the bevel attached to the nozzle. It touches the holder whenever you take it out and put it back in the arm that holds it, and that light touch action has already worn away a lot of the black coating. After a few years of use I’m sure this will look horrible, but I guess you get what you pay for.

A great faucet and wonderful installation

Was looking for a new faucet and I have a Kraus sink. This model looked good and was priced well. But the big selling feature is the installation. It needs to be highlighted more. No crawling under the counter beside the sink in the dark. Done from the top side and an easy one person install. Prefer the control of the manual valve version although there is a hands free available. A super addition.

Perfect in kitchen

Better than advertised

Solid beauty and quality. Very easy to install - not much to do under the sink except attach the supply lines (provided) to your shut-off valves. The Spot-free stainless finish is easy to keep clean and looks great along side the KDS soap dispenser.

Very good quality

Really nice quality faucet. I found it very easy to install myself. It comes with nice long hoses to connect to your shut off valves. Water flow is good and it is very easy to turn left and right. I was impressed by the size of the clip on weight to pull the hose back into place. It keeps good tension on the holder and the hose extends out at least 18” to the bottom of my sink. I installed it on a quartz countertop without the 3 hole deck plate and it is very solid to the counter.

Great Addition to our Kitchen

We are in the process of renovating our kitchen and I wanted to go with this industrial type of look. I was initially looking at the Moen brand but the price was ridiculous at over $1,200. I came across this one and saw all the positive reviews so I decided to go with it. So far so good. My husband said it was easy to install, works fantastic and the hose is long enough to reach right to the bottom of my extra deep sink. We are 100% happy with the look and function.

Works Perfectly!!!

This faucet looks beautiful and seems durable. I used to have a Jalo kitchen faucet "Le Chef" and it broke after a 3-4 months. I decided to replace with the Krau KPF Oletto Faucet since it was Amazon's Choice and had amazing reviews. I was not disappointed and it is still working perfectly!
