Beautiful faucet, no external aerator
This was a bit of a fiasco. I made a mistake when I ordered my first one and it turned out to be a different style. I thought that this faucet was universal to every sink style it is not, make sure you read because there are some different ones. Amazon was great and I was able to return the item very easily with Amazon but I did contact Moen customer service trying to determine whether I was missing a piece on the faucet or whether the faucet was simply not going to be compatible with my particular setup. I was not thrilled with their customer service. The lady on the phone was borderline rude to me the entire time it was not an enjoyable experience. But beyond that when the correct faucet arrived it was easy to install. I was taken by the quality I felt like it was a beautiful faucet and it felt very sturdy in my hand. I like the sprayer, it has a feeling of quality. The faucet was about $120 if I remember correctly and I felt like it was worth the money. It was easy to install but I do recommend getting a faucet wrench if you haven't already got one at home they make installing faucets exponentially easier. Now one really troubling detail is the lack of an external aerator. The aerator is internal so if you ever need to hook up a hose to your faucet or actually hook up anything to your faucet you're out of luck. There is no way to hook anything up to it. There is no aerator that you can unscrew to clean out the filters. Which is pretty troubling considering I have hard water and don't have the money to replace my water softener at the moment. So I don't know how long this faucet will actually last because there's no ability to clean out any of the filters all of them are internal. That said I like the faucet, now that it's installed it looks beautiful it feels sturdy I'm not sure it's going to be a good value for me over the long run however.

Camerist is a gracefull good looking faucet.
im pleased with the build quality nickle finish of this faucet. the side sprayer is totally made of plastic which seems adequate enough if you just dont go savage on it. the flow of water does stop immediatley when the handle is used unlike some other moen faucets. Ovweall i would buy again.

Looks good in the kitchen.
Purchased to replace a leaking old faucet. I was looking for a faucet that didn’t have the sprayer in the spout and a brushed finish like my old one. I looked in six big box and plumbing supply stores and could not find one that had these features. Amazon was the only place that carried what’s I wanted.

Soaking hazard after 1 year
After 15 months, sprayer button started sticking in "on" position, resulting in soaking whoever turns on the faucet next! Except for this, it's been a reliable and attractive faucet.

Engineering Change - model 7840
MOEN makes a great product - however, engineering changed the connections for the 7840 and will not install in my granite counters as my previous 7840 did. Had to return as a result of engineering changes.

Great choice for the kitchen
Moen is awesome. This is the best kitchen faucet we've owned, and the best of the Moen's we've had. It uses their new cartridge too - which is so, so much easier to replace than the old style. We've had this for 7 months now and it's great, no problems at all. Very smooth working handle, and the rotating spout (left or right motion) is also smooth -- far better than older style moens, which would get harder to move over time. This one looks like a new design, so I don't expect that issue with this model. I only have one gripe .. and that is, when it's fully on (max water pressure, handle all the way up), it's not very easy to move the handle (for hot/cold) left or right .... it moves fine, but takes both hands. You can get around this by lowering the handle to a lower flow (or off) and then it's easier to move for H/C with only one hand. Hard to explain, but trust me, once you are using it - you will know what I mean :) Pretty minor complaint, but I still wish they could solve that one -then, it would be perfect. Definitely recommended, even with that one flaw.
