Fixed stuck pump

Like many other reviewers, my pump started sticking and I had to start pulling up the handle manually. After some quick internet searches, I discovered an easy "maintenance repair": First, I removed the pump from it's soap bottle and dipped it into a cut of hot tap water, pumping several times to get all of the soap residue out of the pumping mechanism. Then, I poured about 1/4 cup of vegetable oil into a coffee cup, dipped the pump into the cup and after after a few pumps, the handle started to "pop up" on its own. After a few more pumps for good measure, I removed the pump from the cup of vegetable oil and continued pumping until no more oil came out. I wiped off the excess oil from the pickup tube and placed it back into it's soap bottle. Works like new again!

Love the look but two thumbs down for function

I purchased the first dispenser in 2016 because it matched my other Kohler oil rubbed bronze bath items. It is a beautiful soap dispenser. It lasted 3 years & the pump stopped working (you have to pull up on the knob instead of the knob automatically popping up after use). I could handle pulling up on the dispenser, but after a year decided to purchase a replacement for when the whole thing eventually failed. Today, I took out the new model & the pump doesn't work at all. So, moral of the story: be sure to test out the soap dispenser as soon as you get it and be prepared for the pumps eventual fail.

Quality Look and Function

Ok, this is expensive, and to be honest, I would not have purchased it if I had not had a gift card to cover the cost, but I am glad I did invest in it. It has a distinctive look, and performs solidly. I did not want a cheap soap dispenser where the finish would wear off and the operational pieces would break down easily. This one is professional quality and should last. I have had it for a month with no issue. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the soap can get clogged at the tip (using Castile soap with added essential oils so may be more of an issue with the soap than the dispenser) so you have to make sure you wipe the tip off frequently or you get soap squirted in all sorts of directions, and frankly, it is expensive. I was able to get it at $60, which was the cheapest I had seen this model available. It is worth spending more than other soap dispensers, but really do not think it is worth the incredibly high price tag that is on it.

High Quality

The chrome is high quality and the glass carafe heavy and ultra clear. I bought 4 and just this small update transformed the baths and kitchen.

Broke after a year... BUT REPLACED

Product seemed very high quality, and looked great. Not long after purchase the glass chipped when trying to screw the lid on, the product still worked so no big deal. However, after a year plus of using the dispenser the small metal tube broke off as seen in the image. The dispenser is now useless... I would expect a $70 soap dispenser to last more than a year. I have contacted Kohler and I'm hoping they make this right. EDIT: Kohler customer service sent me a brand new product, no questions asked.

So unique!

Great looking dispenser- the bronze is very pricey and I won’t admit to anyone what I paid for this- but worth the money because it looks so unique and stands out. Searched for a dispenser awhile and bought others that ended up going in storage, but love this one.

Pay attention to everyone says about the pump - it will fail

I love the look, feel and weight of this dispenser, but like others have expressed the pump doesn't hold up and at this price which is steep (I still can't believe I spent this much on a soap dispenser - I'd do it again if the pump held up because of its appearance and weight). BUT, ...... I'd advise DO NOT TAKE the chance, it's not worth it without the option for replacement parts and it's happened enough to many of us who have made the purchase.

Looks rich

This is a gorgeous soap dispenser. Its very heavy glass and just looks stunning in my retro style bathroom with clawfoot tub
