Great vent hood, smooth installation, very quiet
This is a top notch home kitchen hood at a great price. The fan is truly quiet. I think the “high” setting (680 cfm) has about the same or less noise than the “low” setting on my old microwave we replaced. There is also a “quiet” setting which is basically noiseless and a “low” setting which is good for general purpose cooking when there isn’t a lot of grease/smoke that still allows you to carry on a conversation and not feel overwhelmed by fan noise. Installation was a little dicey because this is only a 12” deep fan and there are no options for adapters or extenders sold by this company that work with this fan. If you have 15” upper cabinets or maybe just this one cabinet is offset from the wall to create architectural looks, there will be a gap behind the vent which will trap gases and grease. We had to find a stainless steel gap plate from GE, which happened to look like a similar style of stainless steel, and install that at the back. Wiring was all normal, and I was very pleased to find out that the location of the vent (for rear venting with the 3x10” rectangular duct) was in the exact same location as our previous microwave so I didn’t have to do any duct work. I cannot speak to top venting. I have not attempted to clean the baffles in the dishwasher yet, so I cannot comment on that.

Overall very pleased
PRO's: Packaged well, no dings or scratches. Solid construction, attractive finish. Has Plenty of power, nice LED lights, excellent baffle system with oil drip pan, no logo on the front face, clear installation instructions --All the must-have's on our checklist. Definitely a two-person install. CON's: It would be great to have the ability to dim the two LED's. They provide good illumination for cooking, but for after-dinner mood lighting, we must rely on our under-cabinet lights. It's NOT so quiet you don't know it's on. (Kobe's misleading tagline) Our new LG fridge lives up to that claim, you can just barely hear it running. But not this hood. We have a 6" stack running two feet before a slight bend, so that's not the issue. It's just that the Kobe pulls more air than cheaper fans with only 250 CFM, and moving 650 CFM even on Quiet Mode produces some wind noise. Maybe we simply had gotten used to our old builder-quality hood which probably didn't have near the Kobe's suction but could be left on without noticing it. However to be fair, we compared this Kobe with a shallower ProLine 30" hood which we returned, and the ProLine was MUCH louder. Plus it's much cheaper-made. Less money, true, but everything -- the baffles, the fan enclosures, the welds, the product construction-- everything is less quality-built than the Kobe. We're happy to pay 20% more for a much better product. So given that we were able to directly compare hoods at home, we're quite happy with our CHX9130. OK, even proud.

Great while it works, takes some doing to install, but LED lights are poorly designed
I've had my Range Hood now for over a year, and I love the way it looks. I have it above a GE range with a tri-burner and it does a great job at pulling the smoke from ripping hot cast iron skillets and wok cooking. It requires some maintenance otherwise the switches start to stick, but just make sure to give it a good wipe once a week and put your screens in the dishwasher around the same time and it seems to work well. The only problem I have, is that my LED lights no longer work. I popped one out thinking it would just be an LED bulb assembly I'd have to replace, but it looks like it's some sort of integrated LED light. I'll have to call the company tomorrow to see what can be done about this. Edit: Phonecall to the company worked out great! I told them my problem and they sent me a replacement LED bulb assembly. You have to use a utility blade to get under it, but it comes out as a whole pack, with a 2 prong connector that is easily replaced. I was under warranty and they shipped it out, I got the part within a week!

Not really 900CFS!
The unit is nice all around. Study construction. Quite noisy when at highest setting. Suction was at about 840 CFS like the old unit that we replaced.

Perfect hood for those who are looking for rear vent .
Best for those who need rear vent ! I was looking for something over 500 cmf which can have rear vent not top. After searching a lot on web , I found this with 2 options top n rear vent . My handyman closed top vent and used rear vent . Box was missing fan cover , I hope I can get that form company . It's covered with baffles so I am not worried . That's for safety. It's not noisy , and job good job for Asian cooking.

Good Product
Had multiple hiccups in package delivery, but the product is good. Below are few things to plan 1. if you are replacing under cabinet micro-oven with this hood, you will need to purchase the power plug as this product comes only wires and requires a male plug to the wires 2. Some times you will need to buy the rear vent extension (cost me $3 from my local store ) to attach at rear vent. 3. Aluminum tape is required to seal the vents Overall very satisfied with product...

Beautiful, quiet, range hood that removes cooking exhaust with strength
Arrived quickly in manufacturers packaging with all manuals and installation guide. The protective plastic was adhered to all components and functioned and installed easily. There was one stripped screw but otherwise as expected and described.
