Great until I got a pair of Knipex
I recently got these and used them to replace a bunch of old wiring with new romex in my house. I wired probably 30 connections with them, either receptacles, switches, or junctions. I went with klein because of the reviews and because I like buying American made heritage brands. I was pretty happy with the pliers, they did what I needed and allowed me to complete multiple tasks with one tool. But then I started eyeing the Knipex Forged wire strippers. I bought a pair of those just because I like nice tools and boy oh boy, the difference is immediately obvious! The Knipex cuts wire better, cuts screws way better, and strips way way better. With the kliens, I have to kind of twist to get a full cut when stripping and I have to pull pretty hard. Also, the stripped sheathing sticks to the pliers which is annoying. Now that I know how well the knipex work the kleins seem pathetic by comparison. Also, the j hook bending function of the knipex is super nice. I could see these kleins being the way to go if you're twisting all your joints but I primarily use push-ins and wagos. I think the more traditional lineman style of these kleins is for people who are used to using that style pliers. I much prefer the alternative though. I still like the kliens and like buying from American, family owned, companies that are still manufacturing in America. Klein has been around since the mid 1800s. But the quality and design of some of the german brands is hard to compete with.

Wish I had gotten them years ago
Multiple functions saves me trips up and down ladder. Sturdy and quality tool. Don’t hesitate to purchase.

Love em
I have carried these daily for 4 years now. The only two complaints I have are 1: at some point I broke a screw off in one of the cutters and haven't been able to remove it no matter what I try. Seeing as my need to cut screws down happens maybe once or twice a year at most, oh well, they still work in every other capacity. 2: they don't have the same heft as traditional linemans pliers, so when you're using them as an electricians hammer it might take a few more hits than with regular weight kliens. All in all though, these are great, and ride in my back pocket next to an 11-in-1 screwdriver daily.

Not well-balanced
Just received, first impression is they are not well-balanced. I feel the weight of the front-end tipping when I maneuver them. We'll see how my wrist fells at the end of a day of makingup boxes. I'll use them for a few months and provide follow-up feedback.

Best lineman's pliers I've used
I'd read that these are the best electrician's and lineman's pliers out there. True to the Klein name these pliers are nice! The ergonomic shape of the insulated handles are big plus, and the cross-hatched pattern on the jaws make for easy wire twisting. The cutters are sure and sharp. The fulcrum is precisely machined and well-placed, making the strippers for 10, 12, and 14 ga wire work easily. Icannot ind anything about these pliers that I don't like.

Great pliers for residential
I’ve tried several different styles of wire strippers and these are by far my favorite. These pliers are really great if you do residential because you have your main wire gauges and good wide pliers for twisting wires. I use the veto mp1 tool pouch and it fits perfect in it. I don’t carry my regular lineman’s because these can get the job done most of the time unless you have to twist a lot of wires. When I have to go into a tight crawl or attic I take these pliers and my 11 in 1 and that can typically get the job done, and in a pinch I’ll even use these pliers to nail up a box or put a couple staples in.

Nice but I'd rather have kleins and wire strippers
The product is well made, twists wire better than any combo tool I've used but still doesn't twist as easily as a regular 9 inch linesman plier. I don't use it really. If you absolutely 100% want to make joints with ONLY one tool this is the one you you want but I'd rather have a larger linesman and wire strippers on my belt.

Great but...
Great idea with all parts sharp and working as they should. The only thing that keep me from giving them a 5 is the fact that they are so much smaller than kliens regular linesman pliers. Not only do I have very big hands which makes holding on to these difficult but so much leverage is lost because of size and cutting heavier wire is a selling point. For your at home projects or small remodel jobs they are handy but in the field I'll stick to my original linesman pliers

Best pliers

I really want to love these but they are not fully functional for a UK sparky.
I really like these pliers but as a UK spark I can not fully utilise them. So good and bad: The plier head is possibly the best I have ever used, They twist wire and grip perfectly. The cutter and strippers are good but it would be great if the strippers displayed the cable size in mm2 as well as AWG but I can live with that. But for me the disappointment lies with the screw shears. Because they are American they are obviously designed for Imperial screws. If they were straight holes then the metric equivalents that we use would of been fine I think. However the hole on the 1 side is threaded so I can not use them at all. Which is a real shame as it was one of the features I really hoped to implement. Klein tools, If you happen to read this please consider your metric using brothers accross the pond with future designs as your stuff is really good. Just not Metric friendly!

For uk sparks, I wouldn’t recommend.
In my personal opinion, for day to day use I wouldn’t recommend as the wire strippers are not designed for mm but for gauge. The pliers are good but doesn’t help much for stripping cable and the cutters are great. Can’t fault that part.

Disappointed
The cutting edge has started to overlap on itself causing them to stick.

Good, but smaller than regular Linesman's
Most people rave about how great these pliers are and they are not bad, however, don't expect them to be the same size and feel the same way in your hand that your standard Linesman's pliers do. They are a decent multi purpose plier but they will never take the place of my Knipex or Klein Linesman's. I placed them next to my Knipex pliers for size comparison and the Knipex are not even the largest I own.
