Feature Packed and Great Value
Greenlee tools always feel good in the hand, and these strippers are no different. These strippers are feature packed. I told myself, if I was to buy any other strippers to replace my main pair in my bag, that I’d like them to have screw cutters (most models have removed this feature). Not only do these strippers have screw/bolt cutters, they offer 6 sizes! That’s amazing. They also offer a crimpee section, which I could have lived without. Being there, they cause the strippers to be almost 2” bigger than they need to be. I have a nice pair of Greenlee dedicated crimpers I use for that, but in a pinch, it might be nice that these crimpers are there. I would highly recommend these wire strippers of you are looking for quality, features, and value.

I like my Kleins better
A coworker has a different pair of these and thought I would give them a try. I like my Kleins better: they are more rigid and don't separate at all when crimping. These Greenlees are not bad at all, my Kleins are just a little better in the previous points. These Greenlees though, being stainless, should last longer in my work environment where everything is wet and cleaning/sanitizing chemicals get in many nooks and crannies. I usually go through a pair of Kleins each quarter due to the corrosion. Seem good so far though, no deal breaking complaints

way too long for strippers
they are very bulky not ideal for tight spaces

Greenlee 1927-SS STRIPPERS
Best cutting edge I've seen, SUPER SHARP. I won't cut solid wire with it because I don't want to wreak havoc on the blades, but it handles stranded just fine. Comfort is a 6 out of 10, thickness of the frame could improve a little but doesn't bend. The pliers at the tip are small, but it's not the first tool I'm reaching for when I need pliers anyway. I don't crimp with it since I have a Klein crimp tool, but for stripping and cutting, it's a beast.

Worth it over the standard 1927.
I work in industry, and I used to have a regular pair of these (the standard 1927). But I dinged and dulled the cutter on those over time, these appear to be better, a harder metal. They are also spring loaded, which is nice. The rubber grip is better too, wider. Cons: The edges near the handle are sharp, not cut yourself sharp, but should be smoother. The lock that holds it shut is loose, it usually moves and springs open in my tool pouch. I feel it's worth getting over the standard one because of the more durable metal, better handle, and spring action.

These are the best wire strippers I have owned
These are the best wire strippers I have owned. The spring loaded feature is great hand saver when using them in rapid succession. The locking mechanism is very easily disengaged using the hand already holding the strippers. These are slightly large and have a very thin/flat profile that felt weird at first but I quickly got used to. Stainless is a very nice feature as well. One of the rubber grips did start to slide off more increasingly as I sed them more, but a quick dab of glue and never budged again.

Could be better.
I use my tools and have 6 similar tools, I keep trying to find "the one" to replace most of the others. What I like... Stainless, Agressive crimp style, Close latch, Multiple features, Decient grip. What I dont like... the flat metal stock it is made from is TOO thin and flimsy, The blade flex keeps them from stripping the wires cleanly, The blade flex becomes very apparent when you use the plier tip to roll a loop in a wire, They would be great and would probably be "the one" if they were substantionally thicker and sturdier.

They are long but so thin that doesn't become a problem
Awesome set of strippers. What wasn't so clear to me when I ordered was how thin they are. They are very thin but that doesn't hurt their operation at all. The thinness allows me to keep them in my back pocket with a screw driver and small pair of channel locks without a problem. Nearly unnoticeable ! They cut bolts (I have only cut #10 bolts) and strip wire great ! I have a lot of 20 gauge wire with a plastic insulation under the normal rubbery insulation that most other strippers have trouble getting and these usually take it all off the first time. Great strippers.

AWG is not much use to anyone outside of the USA, and handles feel unpleasant to the touch.
Should have known better... These use American units, which is probably fine if you understand AWG without translating it to metric, or don't mind guessing which hole to use based on feel, but for anyone who thinks in metric and needs to do precise electronics work this stripper is clumsy. Also the plastic they have used for the handles feels unpleasant to touch (if you care about such things). It feels like the type of plastic that will degrade over time and become sticky (and eventually turn pale and brittle). When you read the label on the back of the packaging, it has a warning in small print, and I only saw the warning when I started writing this review because I wanted to know what type of plastic they used for encasing the handles. This is what it says:: Warning: This product contains chemicals known in the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm. I doubt anyone will get cancer from touching the thing, but even so, It feels.. unpleasant. You will know the feeling.. almost oily and sticky at the same time. I haven't even removed it from the blister pack (the handles are outside of the packet, the steel is inside). I don't like it. Besides the ancient units of measurement that nobody in the rest of the world actually uses, the Greenlee company uses known carcinogens in the manufacturing process. Not good enough. Return process underway.

Not worth the features. Read the review!
Good features. There are so many options out there and they all have full descriptions so nobody can ding a rating based on features included or not included. Based on what is included on these, I give 2 stars. It's handy, but kind of feels like a hardware store bargain bin tool. The wire cutters get dulled easily but the crimping tool section is handy. Also nice that stainless won't rust... If you work out in the rain or snow enough to matter Almost every time I use the crimpers, the handles flex and pop out of alignment. So I have to cut off the crimps and re-do it.. almost every time. Basically just don't by them.
