Mainstay screwdriver. Nice to have.

I bought this as an upgrade to the first 11n1 I bought 2 years ago. That screwdriver was fantastic for alot of jobs an electrician does. The Philips, square and flat tips were used pretty heavily and worked great with positive traction on screws. I particularly liked that i could easily change from a Philips or flat tip to a square bit with just a flip of the shaft. The disadvantage to these small bits is that they are easy to lose. They have a tendency to stick in the screw when you pull away. If your not watching you'll easily leave it behind and not know it. I never lost a bit in the 2 years I had it. I gave the old one to a coworker and he lost a bit in 2 days of owning it. This new magnetic version is supposed to be an improvement on the bits. I will have to spend some time with it to see if that's true. I'll update this review in a while and see what's up with the bits. The shaft is longer than the old version too. Other than the longer shaft and bit improvements this screwdriver feels and is pretty much as the original. Feels good in my hand. One hand operation is comfortable and easy. Magnetic holds a panhead tech screw without dropping it. Bit pulled out with screwdriver and not in the screw. This screwdriver is still offten used even though I own a rachet 15n1 also. Keeps me from having to change bits for different screws. I also should say i own the Ideal 12n1 screwdriver also. Side by side comparison there is a difference in the handles. The Ideal brand has a bigger diameter and was easier to use one handed. The rubber grips on both are textured the same, the grip on the Ideal brand was wider and covered more of my hand as i turned it. Except for the small difference in the rubber grip the 2 of them were identical as the operation of the shaft goes. The Ideal brand still uses a dimpel ring to secure the bits, while also making the bits slightly larger. So as usual the Klein brand 11n1 design showed up to work, while the engineering is keeping up-to-date with other top manufacturers. You should get it, it's nice to have around. Just keep an eye on the bits when you use it.

Not bad, not sure how long it will last though, have my doubts on that. Wish the magnet was stronger. I use this for work on computers.

Everyday use

Love this screwdriver. The bit holders are a bit stubborn to get out, but hey they ain’t falling out that is for sure. I use this tool very day multiple times and the only other tool I use this much is a 6” Vice grip. Wouldn’t leave home without it. Klein is made in America and the quality shows.

A great screwdriver for the pros and everyday person

Klein Tools is one of the most reputable tool brands out there. So it comes as no surprise when something as simple as this multi-bit screwdriver is one of the best of it's kind out there. I've used other multi-bit screwdrivers out there in the past, yet most don't come close to this one. I would like to start off and say that are many other multi-bit screwdrivers out there are magnetized as well, but none has a comfortable handle as this one. Ergonomics matters a lot to me. Also, most other bits usually only last about 6 months with constant use. I've yet to replace these bits as they still work pretty well as I come close to my 6 month mark on these bits, and they still work like a charm. I'm pretty much sold on the Klein tool brand since their product are more expensive yet they lost longer and would probably turn to this brand more often in the future.

Super versatile screwdriver that has almost all the bits you need!

Was looking for a replacement for my old multi bit screwdriver that had finally died and had seen a few mixed reviews of this screwdriver so thought I would give it a go. First impressions right out of the packaging is that this is a quality product and feels very well made. Some reviews I had read stated that the handle felt cheap and uncomfortable in the hand but for me, the handle fits great in the palm and has a soft, comfortable, almost rubberised feel that makes it a pleasure to use. I had also heard that when new, the bits can be a little difficult to change and I partially agree as there is some stiffness to the shafts as you pull them out but I certainly didn’t struggle to swap them over. I did notice that there was a little oil on the shafts which was probably left there during manufacture to help protect the metal whilst in storage so maybe have a rag or piece of blue roll handy to wipe this off when you first use the screwdriver. The bits that come with the screwdriver driver are excellent and again, I had no issues removing them to swap over although on a couple of occasions they would not sit inside the shaft all the way and a small amount of the ball bearing used (alongside the magnet) to hold them in place was exposed. But a tiny tap on the work bench had them sitting right and they will no doubt sit better once worn in. It has all the main philips and flat bits you would need around the house along with two smaller torx bits that I find extremely handy as a couple of my appliances are full of torx head screws! The only bits I haven’t used are the square headed bits as I have never come across these in the UK but this may be a feature designed to appeal more to the USA market. Not sure if Klein sell the small bits separately because if you added a smaller flat blade bit to this set it would probably tick all the boxes for me. And as if that wasn’t enough versatility, the shafts of this screwdriver can also be used as nut drivers! These are all listed in inches nut equate to the following sizes in millimetres: 3/8 = 10mm, 5/16 = 8mm and 1/4 = 6mm. I find these to be extremely useful sizes and it’s very handy having the ability to tighten nuts and bolts of these sizes using a tool that’s already in your pouch or pocket rather than having to dig out the socket set. All in all, this is a fantastically versatile tool that will meet most of the basic screwdriver requirements across any home in one handy package. For me, this is worthy of full stars across the board in terms of quality and usefulness. The only thing that stops it getting full stars overall is the square bits but this is a minor complaint and I may be being too picky?! Hope you found this review useful.

Nice tool to have...

Used everyday, great screwdriver

Purchased to replace a wira pop up as is didn't last not durable enough for everyday work as a maintenance engineer. This is rugged and hopefully will last. Needs a small flat bit for terminals to be perfect
