Fits perfectly!

I have the 3M Worktunes model 90543. These gel replacements are the perfect upgrade from the original foam pads. When installing, be sure to remove the old foam pads, which are glued to the yellow disc, then carefully pry off the yellow disc with a utility knife. The new gel pads snap into place perfectly. If you haven't done so already, I would suggest getting a pair of the 3M flat temple safety glasses (either tinted or clear) to wear underneath the ear pads. These type of glasses lay flat against the side of the head for an excellent seal against noise.

sound protection and comfort

Great for the price

Easy fix. The old ones pop right out and these snap back in, super easy replacement. They feel great also.

I was surprised

These fit perfectly on my Peltor Tactical Sport earmuffs I have shot with them in several competitions and they seem to seal better than the original foam.

Fits WorkTunes Connect w/Bluetooth 90543-4DC

I contacted 3M to make sure these would fit my WorkTunes Connect with Bluetooth, part number 90543-4DC. They responded and said these are the ONLY replacements at this time so it seems the original foam pads are no longer made. The first attempt to remove the original pad per the instructions resulted in the pad coming off the yellow base plate. The base plate has to be removed to install the new gel pads. I had to use a small screwdriver between the base plate and housing to get it to snap out. Going back together was fairly easy. The thin foam and fabric inner was stuck in the old base plate and had to be removed and placed in the earpiece before installing the new pads. I installed the new by hooking one side in and working around the pad until it finally snapped in. Be aware it can pinch your finger if you get it between the pad base and the housing. (ask me how I know, OUCH) The first failed attempt to remove the old pad showed the pad part is just glued to the base plate. This would indicate the less expensive generic replacements that just have an adhesive backing should work if you leave the base plate on and just peel the original pad off. I am saving my original base plates in case I decide to buy the generic pads next time. I haven't used the gel pads yet so I will update on performance after I have used them. 3M told me they aren't necessarily more durable than the original foam pads but said most people find them more comfortable. Time will tell. Ear pad and headband padding is about the only short coming to the hearing protectors. My original set with FM had both pads and the head band degrade within 2 years and these blue tooth pads went in a year and a half. 3M should work on better materials or just give you a spare set of both with the units.

Comfort

Easy to install and more comfortable than the original eat piece inserts. Also seems to be quieter.

Works with Peltor Sport Tactical 100

It took some effort to snap them in but these work 100% with the Peltor Sport Tactical 100. The cups are a lot more comfortable than the foam ones that come with the Tactical 100. They give your ears more space under the cup and prevent them from feeling smashed after a long range session. I really feel like these were a good investment and definitely made a HUGE improvement in my comfort.

Why aren't these the standard earpads for Worktunes?!

I replaced the old earpads on my Worktunes because they began to fall apart. These replacements are thicker, softer and more compliant than the standard earpads, and therefore both atenuate noise better and are more comfortable than the standard earpads, as the hard plastic at the base of the cups no longer pushes against my ears all day. No idea why these aren't the standard earpad! A note about the enclosed instructions: I couldn't remove the old earpad assembly following 3M's included instructions, but I was able, without causing damage, to do so by using a flathead screwdriver as a lever on the inside of one side of the earpad, using the opposite side as the fulcrum.

You have to buy this 3M hygiene gel kit and a gel headbandto really like the worktunes

I bought worktune earmuffs and it hurt my ears …..with this hygiene gel kit …I feel very confortable all day long …..and to completed for a percect fit, buy this headband …. Geekria Protein Leather Headband Pad Compatible with Sennheiser HD201, HD201S, HD180 Headphone Replacement Headband/Headband Cushion/Replacement Pad Repair Parts (Black). ….once you install the new hygiene gel kit and the headband, I swear that you will like your earmuffs.

Fits like a glove!

I had my original pair last quite a long time and I work 12hr night shifts all week so for it to finally go justbover a year it was time for me to buy these. The old ones popped out with a little careful help from a knife to separate and these new ones popped right in. It has my two thumbs up.

Great replacement!

Great replacement for the original. The original leather look ear muffs pieces basically disintegrated from use (probably from sweat). I really like the these blue tooth earphones so it was disappointing the ear pieces disintegrated. The replacements are genuine 3M and just snap in to place. Great to have these to replace the old ones. Nice feel against the ears too.

Fits 3M Comtac XP and Tactical Pro. Good alternative to HY80

Rolled the dice to see if these are a much cheaper alternative to the HY80 kit for Comtacs and Tactical Pros. Yes, they fit. They're easier to snap in than the HY80 but still snug. The gel is firmer than the HY80s which may or may not be a bother. Works better for me as I find the HY80s to be soft enough that my ear touches the inner foam pad on occasion. Others with less Ewok ears it might not matter so much. So the firmer pads of the HYG is welcome. Also better passive sound attenuation with a firmer gel.
