Great OEM part; Requires purchase of software and other parts to enable
Not a whole lot I can say about an OEM part, since it's literally made for my vehicle. It works great and the installation was very easy. If you're going to DIY the install like I did, be aware that you have to have the ForScan app on a laptop and an OBD adapter in order to program the truck to enable the brake controller. ForScan requires you get a PAID VERSION in order to program this specific function. This adds significantly to the cost, but it is VERY easy to do.

Works flawlessly, and looks awesome!
After having two Ensun aftermarket in dash brake controller units fail, this one works perfectly. Immediately recognized I had a trailer connected (neither Ensun units recognized a trailer), and the brakes on the trailer were activated. I should have went OEM to begin with and saved myself tearing my dash apart three times, two weeks of headaches trouble shooting and rewiring my trailer, and a missed camping vacation with my boys. Lesson learned!

Easy to install, comes with fuse and relay to charge trailer battery, integrates with in dash functionality. I wish Ford made an OEM for an Explorer too

Good OEM part
Bought this one to fit my 2013 F-150 XLT. Since it's OEM it fits perfectly and the blue backlight matches the rest of the dash perfectly (as opposed to some of the other ones with green lights). Easy to install with the help of a youtube video. Integrates as it should with the dash screen after you have a mechanic turn on the function in the computer (or do it yourself if you have one of those).

It’s has to be activated
It’s expensive after the activation as well..145$ just to turn it on at the FoRD dealer cause I didn’t have FORscan but it works and looks OEM no eyesore of a aftermarket control unit

Watch the many install videos on the web. It’s an easy install. Make sure your fuse and relay are installed as well. Works as it should. I had issues with a brand new car hauler 7 pin connector. 30 minutes and problem was troubleshot and fixed. Almost forgot, I did have to have the dealership turn it on. Since it’s oem I figure it’s gonna increase my resale when the time comes. Couldn’t be happier. 2014 F-150

You must remove the cap on the vehicle connector!
I bought one and returned it because it did not fit the vehicle connector - or so I thought. I ordered another one from a different online supplier, and it did not fit either - thats when I suspected there was something I had missed. The vehicle connector has a cap on it that does not look like a cap. It looks like a connector. I had to remove the cap and then it fit. I was installing in a 2012 F150. So if yours does not fit, take a look and see if the connector has a cap...

Wrong advertised product
This switch was supposed to fit a 2015 F150, turns out it's an old version that won't work, had to go buy a new switch in the middle of our vacation, an expense that wasn't expected
