Good for small dovetails
The first one had to be returned because the left position guide was so out of shape it was impossible to align the pieces. It was accepted back at no shipping cost, and another received in two days. The left position guide on this one was also bent, but not as bad as the first one, and a vice and pair of pliers made it possible to straighten the guide until it fit properly. The right-hand guide on both sets was normal and straight. Not sure why they are having production problems with the left guide which is a mirror image of the right-hand one! But now it's working fine.

Mini dovetail template
Works very well. It takes time to set up, but worth the effort. I like most Porter-Cable products.

Excellent jig for small dovetails
To get the best accuracy it is very important to center the jig with calipers and make sure all fasteners and knobs are tight. Practice on test pieces before doing work part.

Fast easy and accurate
I originally bought the 4210 PC jig which only allowed me to route half blind dovetail. I really liked the jig and decided to invest a little more and now have both the 4213 and 4215 accessories. The setup is relatively easy. Half blind dovetial are easier than through dovetail. The later requires two passes, one for the pins and one for the tails. Each pass is done with a different router bit. This kit provide both the mini straight bit and the mini dovetail bit (both are 1/4 shank bits). Both setup are fast and easy with a little training and as long as the router bits are sharp provide excellent results. If you have a lot of through dovetail to do in one shot, I strongly suggest using two routers, this will allow you to keep the height adjustment and speed up your work. This template (as well as the PC 4213) also allows you to do box joints. I did try and it works but I find it more painful than doing it on the table saw. Also I found that the second steps which is to use the first piece to align the second piece with the template is not very accurate and often lead to small offset.

Router template for mini box and dovetail joints
This is a quality aluminum template for creating those clean neat box and dovetail joints. It is easy to use with the Porter-Cable jig system. However easy It is, make sure you read the step by step directions and do a trial piece before your true project. It's very accurate and makes super box-joints (1/4 inch) for those treasure boxes or even making drawers. I recommend it over some other joint making jigs that use your router table because of the accuracy. I used a small palm router which is more convent than a full size router but is somewhat borderline if your do a lot of joints and don't let the router motor cool off.

Template is fine, bushings are terrible
It's fine. I think most of my issues are operator error, but the template bushings that come with the template are cheap and vibrate out too easily. I'd have to stop multiple times when routing to retighten the bushings.
