Everything included
My kit also came with a new ceramic shaft that wasn’t shown in the photo or description. This is the best value in the web for the Fluval 406 . FYI If you’re getting air bubbles without any water leaks use silicone grease on the gasket to make an air tight seal.

Great Kit and can be used on the 306 Also
It turns out the 406 rebuild kit is the same as the 306 kit except the fins on the pump vanes are 1/8" longer. The benefit of using the 406 kit in a 306 is you will get a slightly high flow rate if that's something you might want.

Fluval maintenance kit
I have bought several of these maintenance kits for my Fluval filter and they are great... sometimes I don't use the whole kit at one time just bits and pieces of it.. either way it keeps your Fluval running in peak condition.. I would highly recommend this maintenance kits

Finally made my filter stop rattling!
I've had my filter for about 10 years. For the last 4 it's been sitting in storage. When I went to use it again it kept rattling something awful! I researched what to do. I replaced these parts and the main o ring around the pump housing. When it is rattling it needs new parts. We were ready to throw the whole thing away because it was so frustrating trying to figure it out! I'd read that it's because it's sucking air in from somewhere. Once I replaced this part it has been quiet and I'm happy again! I never knew the impeller and rings needed replaced every so often. Worth it to not have to buy a whole new filter for hundreds of dollars! Fast shipping and products were packed nicely and protected.

Fair price, same as Fluval’s.
If your starting to hear a little noise from your Fluval 06 series canister filter, this will take care of it and restore it to like new performance. Very please with it, pump is ultra quiet once more.

Arrived quickly
It arrived quickly, but was loose in a big box. The impeller was bent, but luckily enough I didn't need it. It was easy to install.

After one month of its installation, it started to make noises and I found out it was stuck and not moving anymore,.

Great
Before I bought this kit I spent about three hours to no avail trying to get my 406 to pump water again. But all I got was that noisy gravelling rattle sound and no water flow, no matter how many times I pulled up the prime lever. After a bit of Googling this is a common problem with the Fluval series but easily remedied. This kit fixed my system. Contains replacement impeller and ceramic shaft (propeller shaped thingy), impeller cover (the red disk) and a replacement gasket for the whole head assembly. Genuine parts in a Fluval packet. Mine arrived perfectly. Make sure to remove the rubber thing at the bottom fo the impeller shaft.

Having inherited a Fluval 406 which didn't prime and was as noisy as heck, when I ordered the new primer I decided to get a new case seal ring and complete impeller replacement too. Filter not only works better now but is also less noisy.

Bought this because my filter had been making a rattling sound for some time. No obvious damage to the impeller or ceramic shaft I had already but thought it was worth a try. Unfortunately it turned up today with the impeller snapped. Luckily I was able to use the old impeller with the other new parts and the issue is now sorted but it's not really the point. When you are paying 20 odd quid for what amounts to a few pieces of plastic and a magnet you expect it to turn up in perfect working order.

Came as expected. Please read- if you have a fluval external filter and the impeller has broken then ring Hagen/Fluval. They will send you one out for free on next day delivery!
