Great Refurbishing Kit
The original UCO Candle Lantern is a great classic collapsible lantern! The body is primarily brass and the fact that it is collapsible is a great addition. I purchased one at a yard sale for essentially nothing and it was missing the heat shield. I found the refurbishing Kit, but I had also contacted the company. I ordered the kit from Amazon because UCO was sold out. The gentleman said it was an easy fix for the heat shield and offered to send me one, but I had already purchased the kit. Talk about fantastic customer service! Another great value is they have multiple candle types: regular, citronella, and beeswax which burns longer than the first two. Go UCO! A perfect traditional backup for camping, when your power goes out, your battery light dies, or as a personal mosquito deterrent while camping in the woods.

UCO Replacement Parts Kit (OEM)
OEM parts. All fit in the same fashion as the originals. Appear to be of the same quality and the springs tension under compression was the same as the one in the new lantern i purchased with the kit. Should work just fine if the need ever presents.

OEM stuff, but...
My only beef, no globe. I would glady pay an extra couple of bucks for a globe in this package, but UCO has decided to gouge us on this one. Think about it: You can buy a complete UCO lantern for about 20 bucks, but they will charge you 17 bucks, for the replacements parts...so it goes. My wife threw away the steel, candle plate bu accident. So, I had to buy ALL the eternals, to get the small plate. If you are "smart" you can buy some thin washers at your local hardware store for less than a dollar. I did contact UCO, in regards to just that part and was told it was only sold as a complete kit. I digress...if you have a UCO candle. It is nice to have a rebuild kit or two, laying around, in case you need to service your UCO. It is OEM kit from UCO, but there is not but $.40 worth of product here and UCO wont sell individual parts.

Brought old candle lantern back to warm glow!
Wow, I bought a candle lantern many,many years ago. Made in USA. Model #2. It sat in the camping box without a spring for all those years, like 15 or so. Now with this kit and some cleaning it is good as new. Thanks UCO!

Gotta have it.
As everyone knows, everything breaks. Remember Murphy's law, anything that can go wrong will (eventually) go wrong. Its first corollary states that it will go wrong at the most inopportune time. So why not have a spare parts kit. This kit has almost everything you will need to keep your UCO candle lantern running like new. Only gets 4 stars however because where is the globe? Naughty UCO you have to purchase it separately.

Light the way..
Whether it's the lantern or the rebuild kit. Its all worth it for its purpose. Can keep a small tent warmer perfect for a hammock too. Not a bunch of light but enough to get by. Quite happy with it.

Has most of what you might need
Saves the cost of getting another lantern. Likely to only ever need one or two parts out of the kit. Would have been better is all parts could be purchased individually, but at least there are spares available

Everything you need for repairs to an old uco lantern. Shipping does take a while in the Uk but it is coming from the States..

I only wanted one bit, the disk, I now have spares that I’ll, probably never need, but as they come from the USA probably no difference in cost!

I have a couple UCO candle lanterns and purchased the repair kit to ensure that I have spare parts for if/when repairs will become necessary. These appear to be the exact same components used in the assembled lanterns though I have not had to actually use any of the kit pieces yet. It would have been nice if these were an improvement from the original components somehow, like being titanium, though that is more of a suggestion for a different/new product for UCO - the titanium UCO candle lantern! It does not include replacement glass cover; wanted to emphasize that so someone doesn't purchase this thinking it covers all the bases. So, it is what it is and will very likely do what it is intended to do. Recommended if you require, or may require, repair replacements for the UCO candle lantern(s)!
