Well-constructed flush mount brackets

I ordered these because I had to replace a failed Simrad radio that was flush mounted. I wasn't sure if I would be able to use the mounts from the Simrad because the boat is at a marina. I thought I'd get these and return them if not needed. It turns out I could have used the Simrad, but they were not nearly as well designed as these. Their is a ridge on these that helps lock the bracket into the radio to keep the bracket from twisting, as the Simrad brackets did. The Simrad brackets were installed for a few years and hadn't failed though. These are sturdier and fit the radio well.

Really good value, easy to install and worked well

Used to flush mount my Simrad VHF. The material seemed a little cheesy at first, but it actually worked quite well and was easy to install. Mounted in a fast center console and has survived some long, rough rides with no sign of loosening. Really good value.

No template as advertised

This was supposed to come with the cutout template which is arguably more important than these mounting blocks. Nope, just the blocks that I cannot use without the template.

Got the job done

This got the job done for my Standard Horizon radio on our 2003 Sea Ray Sundancer 260

Product does make it easy to flush install the VHF radio on the dash. But the problem I had was that the dashboard thickness was a little over 1/2 inch. This cause a problem during install because the bracket only has one hole to attach to the radio. I had to modify it by drilling a hole closer to the face of the bracket. If you have a dashboard that is less than 1/2 inch, it should install just fine. It holds radio well.
