Works, but way over priced for what's included.
Seems like a lot to pay for one proprietary peice that can not be purchased individually. The T-piece with the ball float is the only part of the kit that I cant go to an autoparts/hardware store and pick up. The shutoff valve is WAY TOO BIG, so it was useless and the fuel line/hose clamps are of acceptable quality, but not like I dont already have those laying around. Come to think of it, I have yet to see with my own eyes an auxiliary tank that has a port at the bottom that is big enough for the supplied shut off valve to be used. Mine is only 1/4 inch, same size thats used on air compressor lines, not the monster size that was included. One very positive thing I say saw is that mine does not leak. When installed I used a very good Permatex thread sealant and allowed time for it to set up. I have my auxiliary tank plumbed to my stock tank through a Racor fuel filter/water separator using a small (5-9 psi) fuel pump. From the tank, the pump PULLS the fuel through the hose to the Racor unit, then suctions through the 10 micron filter, where it reaches the pump and is forced into the stock fuel filler neck via the T-peice with float ball. From my understanding of the research I performed, this is the optimal setup for both the Racor filter and the small fuel pump. Works like a charm, and does NOT seem to gravity flow at all, even on a hot day with the high pressures that end up resulting inside the auxiliary tank from being in the hot sun (110 degrees for a week straight.) Even when the stock tank is completely full (verified by opening the green fuel cap and visualized fuel all the way up to the vent hose of the stock filler neck, then closing the green cap tightly) and fuel pump still running, I have had zero leaks from the t-piece. I know this is a common complaint of this particular device, and the biggest irritation after spending $60-85 on one of these kits. I'm not sure if others' are not installed correctly or if I got lucky and received a part that actually functions as its intended to. Which ever the case, I'm glad it is functioning as it should.

Easy to install - 2016 F350
Bought this for myRDS Fuel Tank Tool Combo - 60 Gallon, Model# 72743 to install in my 2016 Ford F350. I have the truck to pull my 41' fifth wheel. When hauling the 16k pound trailer, the gas mileage drops to about 8 or 9 mpg, hence the auxiliary tank install. Enough about the reasoning, lets get to the kit. It was easy to install, plain and simple. The tank took a lot more time of jockeying back and forth to find hole locations to drill. The kit was quick and easy. My Ford has a metal fuel line from the fill cap, transitioning to rubber after about a foot. I was able to cut back the rubber line and install the kit at the transition from metal to rubber. I did have to cut about 4-5" of rubber hose back and use one of the couplers provided (see photos). The parts fit together perfectly and wasn't difficult to line everything up. Be absolutely sure to install the kit with the fill valve as perfectly vertical as possible. If it is not vertical, the check valve will not work correctly and you will lose fuel, as much as 60 gallons if you don't notice the issue. I also recommend using a larger hole saw for the fuel line from the tank to the truck's fuel line. My layout had the valve stem from the tank almost touching the angled truck bed, I had to enlarge the hole for the fuel line to pass through and give room for movement. I used the leftover fuel line to add a piece to the breather valve on the tank and placed it facing up, less chance of splashing diesel in the toolbox.

Like it
Haven't installed it yet but have scoped out the way I'm going to do it and it should work well. The only concern is that I feel like the clamps should go over the diesel intake fuel pipe AND the inserted piece. I bought two more, to place them at each end of the inserted component (two on each black sleeve) to make absolutely certain it would not leak. Addendum: I have now installed it and would like to note that the fuel intake pipe on the 2017 F350 is so close to the bed that it's impossible to install the insert with the nipple facing up. I had to place it 45 degrees to make it horizontal to the truck bed. I wasn't sure that would work but it does. It works perfectly. I still have not been able to locate a vent on the truck's OEM tank. It's just too difficult to see the top of the tank the way it's placed. Because of that I keep the valve closed on the accessory tank until the main tank is almost empty. That prevents any overflow through the vent of the main tank due to gravity forcing fuel from the accessory tank which is at a higher elevation.

Everything was in a kit
I like the quality but the large hose was not fitting over my fuel tank aluminum pipe I had to thin out the inside walls of the hose so I can put it on, did not like that at all but all the other clamps hoses were perfect.

Double check fitting
Check the brass fitting, mine came fairly tight so didn’t think anything of it but kept leaking diesel, finally pulled down and checked, no Teflon tape and not tight enough, once that was fixed works great, does what I want it to do

Directions a little iffy
Installed it per directions. Turned on valve for gravity feed going into tank. Worked great. Went out 2 hours later and had a little amount of diesel on ground. Well what happens is you need to set T in filler line at about a 10:00 position or slightly less. I had it at 12:00 and it did not force the ball valve up to stop flow from auxiliary tank. Adjusted T and bingo done deal. Went back and noticed another reviewer had same problem has myself. Works great
