Good replacement

Good to have on hand as a spare set. Over time the teeth of these straps deteriorate based on how much you use your bike rack

I find the ratchet release on the straps somewhat annoying to use (may need to wiggle the strap if not oriented properly) but these are identical to the ones that originally came with the bile rack.

Straps difficult to loosen or take off.

While easy to secure, these straps can be a bear to loosen. Oftentimes takes me several minutes to get my bicycle off the rack. Also, the reason I had to purchase these additional straps is that, unlike my previous bicycle fasteners, these do not stay on the bicycle by themselves. You have to connect and tighten them and leave them in a loop while travelling without a bike. Otherwise, they will fly off easily!

Easy way to loosen the straps

Easy method to loosen the straps. After 4 or 5 uses, I figured out an easy way to easily unloosen the straps (everytime). Each strap has a long tongue and a buckle. I like to tighten with the buckle on top facing me. To loosen, grab the buckle with one hand on each side of the buckle, push down (allowing tongue to come out) and pull the buckle toward you. The long tongue will slide out the back of the buckle. Hope that helps.

BAD DESIGN! I would not trust them!

These straps are a terrible design, even after reading the manual and locking the cradle, they are a NIGHTMARE! CAN’T TRUST THEM!!

Fits perfectly

Just got them yesterday (didn't realize it was a pack of 6 - 3x2 with different lengths). Snapped one in, and all is good.
