Brass extensions worked but I had to use pipe adapters to get it to fit over the nut portion.

These extensions worked to solve the problem. Not enough pipe length to get the holding nut and the hose nut on the faucet pipes. The extensions worked but the tightening nuts could not make contact with the surface at the level of the nut. I used 1 inch to 1 1/4 pipe adapters to go over the nut and make contact to tighten the nuts.

Pricey

Bought these extensions because I bought an inch thick countertop and the inlet lines on the faucet were too short so the supply lines leaked. However, the extensions leaked also because you can not tighten them enough before they hit the locking nuts for the faucet. I had too rig this to worn by installing the extensions and then making a sleeve out of 1 1/4 pvc and slipping it over the extensions with the lock nuts. Also the 2 extensions cost 1/2 as much as the whole faucet.

Just what I needed

Needed this for our new house build. The quartz was too thick for the faucet to connect. I called Kingston Brass and they confirmed this would work and they also told me it was cheaper on Amazon.

Unfortunately we all came to this product page for the same reason. It works but yes it is something that should have been included in the faucet kit. It will extend your post but guarantee you won't be able to tighten the plastic washer that secures the faucet to the counter. I had to use pvc extensions and nuts slid over entire post to tighten the faucet to counter. I'll post some photos of what I am referring to.

Just what I needed

We had purchased a Kingston faucet and granite counters. The threaded stubs were too short to hook up water lines and nut it up to the sink. The extension worked great.

it did just what it was supposed to, though I think sink manufacturers in general should be more up front about how their faucets generally don't fit the most common countertops today -- 1.5" stone.

Required by Poorly Designed Kingston Faucets to Fit a Standard Counter Top

So, we purchased a Kingston kitchen faucet for our laundry room sink as part of a renovation. Much to our (as well as our contractor's) surprise, when it came time to install the faucet the faucet didn't fit a standard thickness of countertop that's typically used in a kitchen. Basically, if your countertop is thicker than like 1/4", you are required to by these extension nuts. Unless you're using plywood (maybe not even then), what kitchen countertop is 1/4" thick??? This is just a blatant money-grab, bait-n-switch, classic required upgrade con by Kingston. Unfortunately, we bought this faucet too long ago so it's outside of the return window, so we were extorted into buying this. Even so, I had to also buy a similar Kohler extension kit (at 1/4 the price of this one) to get appropriate washers, etc. So even though Kingston extorts you into buying this with their bad faucet design, their solution for their own self-induced problem with their own product doesn't work without buying another brand's solution, too.

You will need large washers to make these work!

Depending on the thickness of the counter you will need washers and it spacers to install the taps.

Kingston Brass - Only one shank in package? Really?

Why it is important to read low reviews which I skipped doing which would have saved me a headache. I ordered a KB faucet like others who discovered the shanks are too short for a secure install to the countertop which then brought me to order the shank extension. I ordered the KB shank extension, as I thought, should be better to match with the product manufacturer right? Wrong - came with one shank. Why is it sold as a single?? It does nothing for you - you need two of them.. for the HOT AND COLD water supply valves!! Moen's kit has two, seems they thought that one through. Agree with others that this kit should be in the box with faucet. Had I known I would rack up my bill for this faucet purchase by an extra $50 I would not have purchased this obscure branded faucet based on looks and finish alone and would have stuck to a Moen, a Price Pfister, a Delta...heck even a Glacier Bay.

Saved my moms dream kitchen faucet
