Love these bottles
The kiinde products are the best! Our daughter feeds well with these nipples (she is also nursing) and they are so easy to clean. These products are great if you don't want to spend all of your time cleaning bottles.

Better than traditional bottles
The active lactch nipples are great! It can be frustrating that only the slow flow nipples are with the holders, so this is a great way to get the faster flowing nipples. I liked to have at least 3 of each type since that's how many my son goes through in a day at daycare. The nipples are great as no milk comes out without him sucking. It did take daycare a little bit of time to learn how to use the nipples, but once they did a few of the caretakers mentioned they loved the bottles. It took me reading a review somewhere to find out the following information. I wish that Kiinde had it on their website more clearly. Unlike most bottles you want to START with the fast flow nipples (unless you get a starter kit you will likely need to purchase these) because your baby needs to learn to use them. As they get better at learning how the nipples work you can move down to the medium and then the slow flow. He's been using the slow flow nipples now for about 6 weeks (he's 6 months old and I went back to work when he was 3 months old). The new versions of the nipples are better than the old ones. The new ones have different colored caps for the slow (yellow), medium (blue), and fast (white/clear) nipples so it's easy to tell them apart. However, when I was steam cleaning them at the same time it can be difficult to read which nipple was which from the base. I did have to use the cleaning brush to "open up" the values a little more on the slow flow. Some of the slow were harder for my son to use than the medium, but once I did that I had no problem. Unfortunately I don't know if those were the old or new style nipples. Great customer service -- I wrote to kiinde twice because of questions on how to use the nipples (as I mentioned above, start fast then slow), but also confusion on the new vs. old nipples. Both times I had a response within 24 hours - sometimes at 3:00 am when I was up nursing too - and they were always happy to make things right for me.

Great for traveling
I like to use the kinde set when traveling with my little one. It’s really convenient and space saving - plus I don’t need to worry about packing lots of bottles. I’ll just take bags of prepared milk, extra nipples, and one holder. I can fit all of this into a small cooler bag. Cleaning the nipples is also so much easier than washing bottles. Overall great system!

Babies love them and no leaks!
I have been using the Kiinde system since my first baby and I absolutely love it! It has been a great and easy thing for everyone in the family to use. I had heard that babies can be really picky about the type of bottles and nipples when they are breastfed babies. I have used these for both of my kids and they love these nipples so much that I never had to try any other type. Another pro is that they are truly leak proof, I have turned the bottle upside down and not a drop comes out. For my first baby I also bought a few medium and fast flow nipples for when she got bigger and it was such a mistake! The medium flow was too much for her so needless to say I never even tried the fast flow ones. Talking to a friend I realized that I did not need to buy another flow as with use the little hole will get bigger and the flow will be faster as the baby grows. I just make sure I rotate the nipples so they all get about the same use and I just kept using the same ones until she was done with the bottle. For my second one I just bought new slow flow nipples and will continue to use them until he no longer drinks from the bottle too. The only thing that has made me a little nervous in the past is that the nipple is easy to get on and off the bottle (unlike with regular bottles that you have to screw on and off), which made me think that when my daughter was older (about 1 year old) she would pull the nipple off and milk would spill all over the place. This never actually happened, so I am not even sure it would, but I never really left her all alone with the bottle either.

We love these nipples, but...
The entire Kiinde system has been great. At first, my daughter wouldn't take these nipples, but after a few tries, she latched on and has never looked back. Even the fast flow nipples require active sucking for any milk to come out, which is great for breastfed babies. Unfortunately, though, I can't give these nipples the 5 stars that I want to give them. PROS: - Slow flow. - Securely attached to pouches; baby can't easily pop the nipple off. - Amazing customer service! When I wrote to the company about my daughter not taking the nipples, they sent me a few medium and fast flow nipples to try. They informed me that many babies start on fast flow and wean down to slow flow as they become more comfortable with the system -- and we found this to be true. CONS: - My daughter sucks so hard on these nipples that she has managed to widen the holes on over 12 (twelve!) nipples. I thought I was washing them improperly, but even if I just rinsed them, after a week or two, the nipple would be torn. This makes me want to give the product 3 stars, but when she was an newborn, she had no problems with the nipples. Now that she has managed to widen the holes, she is happier and the milk comes out faster... so it's more of a nuisance than a hazard. - To avoid tearing them, I don't clean them with a brush, so it's hard to keep them clean. Residue tends to build up inside. The bottom line is that these nipples (and the whole Kiinde system) are still leaps and bounds better than most other products we've tried. My daughter is 9 months old and is very fond of the Kiinde bottles and nipples. The system has made pumping and feeding expressed milk much easier.
