Works great to keep door ajar

Our cat’s litter is in our utility closet, so I wanted to find a way to prevent the closet door from closing all the way, while still allowing the door to be opened and used easily by us throughout the day. This works great - I like how you can use it on any side of the door to adjust how wide the door stays open. I use it on the top of the door in the middle to keep it open a good 5-6.” Prevents us from closing the door out of habit, and I know our cat won’t accidentally close it when we’re not home so she always has access to her box. Because it’s clear, it looks less noticeable than the foam types. It’s definitely more stiff than I imagined so I had to really pull it open to get it over our solid wood 1 3/8” doors, but seems to be holding in place just fine. They’re just not easily reposition-able once on.

Yep. This is them. Work perfectly.

Have ordered these four times for myself and give them as shower gifts. These are awesome. We call them the elephants. They work on the inside (where the hinges are) and the outside (where the doorknob is) of our wooden doors. I would suggest measuring and following buyer's guidelines, but they do stretch.

Who Needs Kids?

My husband and I don't have kids, but we have pets. He sleeps during the day (3rd shifter, not a vampire), and I sleep at night. We wanted a way to close the door most of the way, but leave enough of a gap so the dogs and cats can come and go from the room as they please. We tried using a door stop, but the pets kept knocking it out of the doorway (sometimes on purpose), plus the door would thunk as it would bounce again the door stop. After digging around online, came across these door finger-guard things. Perfect! In the stores, I could only find them in packs of 5-8, but we only needed one. Plus, they were usually white, which would stand out against the golden oak doors. Found this 2-pack, and problem solved! The clear material holds onto the door well. Placed near the top of the door, it's easy to forget it's there. When the door is closed, it leaves a small gap - enough for kitty paw or a puppy nose to nudge the door open. When door closes, there's a quiet bump. Quiet enough that it doesn't wake up either of us when we're sleeping. I definitely recommend this door cushion, even for a child-free home.

Keeps my babies fingers safe

Yes-stops the door slamming!!

This product has helped reduce the amount of loud, obnoxious door slamming by my two year old. Yes, she still tries it the but door bounces harmlessly off the jamb. I put the stoppers up high so they can’t reach them but I can still easily remove them for when people are visiting and need the bathroom for example. This product is super durable and can withstand many door slam attempts-stays in place and doesn’t get damaged!

Works, Sturdy, pulls paint

My son slams doors on us and when he realized he was alone would cry so this fixed that but when you pull it off the door to close it it takes the paint on the door with it because it’s rubber

Works great for cats too

I bought these to keep my cat from accidentally shutting himself in rooms while I was away for a week. They're super easy to install, stay in place, and worked great.

Save little fingers and hands from getting smashed

So relieved these arrived quickly. We have large, heavy interior doors that two year old loves to slam with force that shakes walls. With one of these positioned about a foot down, on the side of the door, slamming is impossible. We call it a “bumper” because that is what it quietly and effectively does. It also works well to leave the door open slightly, when airflow to the room is desirable . The material is slightly flexible and provides slight grip, so it won’t slide down the door or move upon impact.

These work on a very simple principle. I find that the best place to position them is on top of the door a few inches from the edge. This gives maximum protection from trapping fingers on the hinge side. My 15 month old twin grandsons have just discovered the delights of bumping doors so the wedges do need to be re-positioned from time to time. Given the cost they are a very cheap and effective way of protecting little ones while they learn about potential dangers.

does the job

I expected the item to be solid so when i saw it thought how will it fit over the door. They are not solid but a hard flexible plastic so fit tight to the door with the hole taking the strain on the bend. easy to fit and remove and much more substanstial than the eva foam finger guard that lasted one week

Perfect for the job, discreet and elegant!

I chose this product because of its discreet design. I have not regretted it. It is so elegant and blends in on any door you may put it on. Perfect. Also, our doors are extremely thick and I was worried that it might not fit .. it does :) Just perfect.

Very sturdy door jams! I had some from Tesco that the kids could get to spring off the doors if the pushed hard enough....but there's no chance of that with these!! Great product!!
