It's like a clog, and a shoe combo.
This is my first set of clog like shoes, after trying clogs, and returning them. This shoe runs wide. I bought the 12, and then traded that for the 11.5. I have 2E feet that run between an 11.5 and a 12. The 11.5 fits great with thin dress socks to med. cotton socks. They are very flexible, and provide a toe bumper that I like. They also have a good arc support that I appreciate. I also wear these as dress shoes, when I want to be a bit on the casual side. Great grip and traction. I have not worn them in a prof. kitchen yet however. But, I think they are going to do the trick there too. The one piece leather upper is also very good in wet conditions. I don't know "how" waterproof they are, but my feet have yet to be wet. I recommend these shoes. I wish they made them in different colors. Just updating, now that i have worn the shoes for a bit: I still love the shoe and the non-slip is the best! The only down side, is that I actually received blisters. This could be just me, but, I wanted to update my recommendation.

-been wearing these for years, they last forever, are comfy when you first put them on, and get more comfy as you wear them, i always have my next new pair in the closet for fear i might not be able to get them again... there's nothing i can complain about with these shoes, and i'm a nitpicker

Insoles not warranted for 1 year, just the shoe.
2APR18 Update - I've been wearing these shoes with the replacement insoles provided by Keen for about a month. The replacements are their K20 insoles. I find they have very different feel from the originals that came with the shoes. Two things happen with these new insoles: First, I immediately noticed the fit was not as smooth. That is to say I could feel the undulations of the support structure. This is somewhat less comfortable than the originals, but tolerable. Second, the K20's are a bit thicker and made the shoe a little more snug; another slight annoyance. I think, but I'm not sure, that Keen's K10 insole would be a better fit. If I purchase the K10's I'll post an update. 4MAR18 - The shoes are great, but the insoles started to come apart in less than 3 months! The people at Keen informed me that the INSOLES ARE NOT WARRANTED, as is the shoe, for the 1 year warranty period. However, Keen graciously made a one time exception and gave me a replacement. That's great, but these insoles should have lasted much longer. I have 2 pairs of similar Keen Howser style shoes that have their original insoles. These took about 2 years each to wear out. And they did wear out (along with the entire shoe), not come apart like the insole in my most recent pair of Keens. It seems that these latest insoles are less robust, however, they look identical to the long lasting ones I had. I still love the shoes. They just have higher maintenance costs now. :(

Always skeptical on buying expensive shoes
I bought these shoes 3 weeks after i purchased the crocs bistro shoes, and 2 weeks after i purchased the Keen hiking sandals. The bistros left my feet sore and in pain after each shift (10-15hrs) where i couldn't even walk the next morning, even my Achilles was pain. When i purchased the Sandals, I immediately took them to Big Bend for my vacation. They are the most comfortable sandals i own, my hiking expenditures were 4 hour long at times, no fatigue. This experience made me take the chance of purchasing these shoes, I don't regret the purchase. These shoes are so comfortable I even wear them on my days off, just to go out and about. They fit just a tad big, I usually where a size 14, I believe I could have been comfortable with a 13. I also have Plantar fasciitis on my left foot, they shoes made my days run smoothly. I recommend these shoes for big guys, I am 6'3, 240lbs and I love these shoes. Go ahead and take a chance on these shoes, if you are a chef like me, you won't regret the purchase.

These shoes are not slip resistant
So I bought these shoes with high hopes, I am not a person that believes in returning things to Amazon just because they have an excellent customer service policy but in this case I had to. I wore them for two nine hour shifts and I almost slipped and fell twice. Once on a harwood floor while I was mopping and once in the kitchen by the fryers. Another big disappointment is how the material on the inserts folded and made my heel uncomfortable, almost like I had debris in my shoes. On the positive side they look nice and feel comfortable but living with the fear of wiping out with debris in my shoe is not worth it.

Good hospital shoe
Good shoes. Manly appearing. I wear them in the hospital for multiple hours and they are comfortable. I have fairly flat arches and need support and Keen shoes usually have that and these are no different. Have had then for several weeks now and still like them. There is the possibility that the foot bed will wear out, but that can be replaced. I purchased these (no freebies or discounts) and would do again. Update 2/15/19: I have had these for 2.5 years now and have worn them a lot. I have had to replace the foot bed, but these are some of the best shoes I have ever had. They are still going with no sign of stopping. The soles are still in great shape as it the upper. I love this shoe.

Worth every penny
My husband's a chef and also has fallen arches and somewhat wide feet. my husband's been a shot for 15 years and has owned many many pairs of shoes we were kind of reluctant to purchase shoes without trying them on he says these are by far the best use he's ever owned and as far as cleaning goes we just take a rag and wipe it off with a little bit of spray that we use for the counters they come clean as new he says they are super comfortable they are very non-slip we are so happy we will be buying more of these in the future!

Great restaurant shoe
Keen has a wider toe box which works great for me. It's true to length. Extremely good traction (awesome non-slip sole) in the kitchen. Very durable and lots of cushioning. Worth the money

Does everything
Been wearing them for 3 weeks straight, middle of the road overall for cushioning, good for walking, climbing ladders, work(electrician) and they dont leak. I dont overheat and dont get cold feet. Seem well built. Slip on with no effort and dont flop around. I have a wide foot and barely a size 14 and they fit perfect as per size. Bonus is that they dont make my feet look huge and ive even worn them to a few nicer outings and im glad i did. Would buy again 100%

Almost the perfect work shoe
I think these are some of the best nonslip work shoe out there. I've been wearing these for almost 4 months now in the kitchen and dish-pit, they are very comfortable and solid underfoot. The only small downside of these shoes is the price, they are a bit pricey, but if you have a budget form work, these are a no brainier.

Very versatile easy on easy off for work or casual walking
It’s about my fourth pair sometimes hard to find in the local shoe stores but I wear them a lot and are very comfortable no foot pain
