No bad at all. Lasted just over 1 year
The shoes lasted 13 months of wearing every day outside at work. I was hoping to get a little more time for the price but so far price doesn't seem to mean quality anymore. 25 years ago shows lasted 2 or 3 years now a days this was the longest a shoe has lasted mine in long time. I liked the style and comfort. The shoe failed at the front and sides of the sole because of glue failure. I will Never understand why they don't stitch the soles on. Anyway I might buy again. Trying another company and we will see how that goes.

Great hiking shoes (great during wet conditions)
I’m very happy with these hiking shoes. I have no problem with the fit. I think I read someone commenting about them being too narrow. I can maybe see what they are talking about but not that much of an issue for me. It probably depends on the shape of your foot. I’ve always had cheap hiking shoes and sneakers that would get wet during a storm. Thankfully, I haven’t had any problems with wet feet/socks with these shoes. So the extra money was worth it. I’ve stepped in many deep puddles with ease (though the splashing may have gotten my pants wet). They are hiking shoes. So, they are a little more solid and I can’t use them for jogging, but great for walking. I use them in all conditions: forested trails, dirt/sand trails, and even sidewalks. Due to the extra support I walk a little slower on a sidewalk as compared to a sneaker, but that’s to be expected. I haven’t tested them out for longer than a couple hours at a time. So, I don’t know how they would feel if you were in them the entire day. I’ve had them for about 8 months now.

Made my feet happy from day 1
I have worn a different model of Keen boots for 12 or 15 years (3 pairs, I think). When I needed to replace the last pair, that model was not available and I called Keen to ask which they though I would like best. The Steen's was what they recommended and they felt great from literally day 1. As soon as I put them on my feet went "aaaaahhhhhhhh". I wore them the next day for a 3-mile hike and they felt really good - no break-in period required. That said, if I was backpacking and/or doing a lot of hiking on trails with lots of jagged rocks, I might go for something with a heavier sole. But for my purposes, these hikers are perfect. Highly recommend.

Great hiking shoes. I should have ordered a half size larger.
The shoes run on the small size.

comfortable right out of the box
Bought these for my husband for a trip to the Rockies for hiking and city walking. Found the shoes true to size, usual size is 10.5, & these are 10.5. While he has a somewhat narrow foot this pair of shoes is comfortable. They are roomy in toe box. He wears them with wool socks. He likes how "beefy" and sturdy the shoes are. They are not cheap and floppy.

Inferior & narrow hiking shoe
I ordered the Keen Steens WP hiking shoe at a 50% discount on black friday. Even at that price it wasn't worth it. In the past I've gotten Keen Voyageur and Keen Koven which were both excellent in terms of general width and arch support. The Steens is 1/4" - 3/8" narrower midfoot compared to a Voyageur medium. The foot pad is ultra cheap, quite flat and spongy and is used as tiny billboard for advertising. It offers little support. I pulled the pads out and put in a used pair of orthotic insoles I had around and it did feel better but not nearly as good as the Voyageur. From now on I'll try not to chase the sales and stick with the Voyageur, a shoe that respects medium to wider feet.

So far most excellent!
I'm extremely flat footed. These shoes feel solid, great and support my foot correctly. Hopefully they will hold up for a while now! Very happy!

Get 1/2 size Larger; too narrow mid-foot
Nice shoes, should serve me well. While I've only worn these around the house, unlike other Keens I've had these will need breaking in. The foot bed is not as soft as I'd like but I think it will conform over time. Also, I had to exchange my normal 10.5 size for an 11 so get a half size larger when you order. Plus, hiking shoes go with hiking socks which are a bit thicker than regular socks.

Fit ok
Have worn keen work boots for years and love them. These don't seem to be built with the same quality as the work boot.

good fit
very comfortable from the start. wide fit, light weight, waterproof, all as expected. Bellows tongue doesn't extend to the top lace so possibility of water getting in there perhaps.

Good solid walking shoes
These are good walking shoes. Solid good support and nice wide fit. Only negative: Insole is inadequate for decent support. Had to buy a set of quality insoles. Otherwise happy.
