Very comfortable and lightweight

I took a chance because I always like to try my shoes on in the store. But the price and brand name were enough for me to bite. These shoes are amazingly well fitting. Yes the tongue is a bit small but then again it doesn't bunch up and pinch the top of my foot. Like virtually every shoe, the factory insoles are garbage. I buy high end insoles and these shoes are the third home for mine. These fit wonderfully, are light and breathable, and hopefully I can get at least six months of life from them. I wear them daily in my work as a carpenter and handyman. As of now, I plan on buying a second pair.

Shoe Tongue slightly small

I am a huge fan of Salomon. The backs always wear out quickly for me, but I’m okay with it for the fit. These are the first “tie” Salomon’s I have owned. The tongue seems a little small (narrow and short), but the rest of the shoe is great. I always swap insoles to my favorite other brand, so cannot comment on the insoles.

Comfort

After wearing for 2 days bottom of feet hurt. Not much cushion in these shoes and the first bad experience with the Salomon brand for comfort!

Sizes are very small.

After wearing Merrell daily for around 20 years I fancied a change and opted for these gorgeous looking shoes. I take a UK size 10. The first pair of Salomon that arrived were too small lengthwise. Bear in mind that my size 10 Merrell can be worn with liner socks in the winter. I arranged an exchange and opted for size 10.5 which arrived the next day and to my disappointment, are again too small. I refuse to pay an additional £20 to go up another half size and have regrettably returned for a refund.

Qualitative Enttäuschung

Ich trage schon seit mehreren Jahren verschiedene Modelle von Salomon und war immer wieder erstaunt wie unglaublich gut sich der Tragekomfort dieser Schuhe über andere stellt. Für mich, der viel zu Fuß unterwegs ist, ein absoluter Traum. Leider wird die Qualität allerdings immer schlechter und der Preis immer höher. Nun da muss man wohl in den sauren Apfel beißen. Ich habe die Schuhe anprobiert und sie haben gewohnt gut gepasst. Beim ersten mal Tragen war der Spaß allerdings wieder verflogen und Frust groß, denn beim binden der Bänder ist direkt mal die erste Öse ausgerissen. Sowas sollte bei Schuhen in dieser Preisklasse wirklich nicht passieren, war daher wirklich sehr enttäuscht.

Mmm... Made in India- Bangladesh.

Premetto che calzo 12 mesi l' anno scarpe Salomon. Queste mi danno un senso di scarsa cura nell' assemblaggio dei materiali, e una qualità degli stessi inferiore alle altre acquistate. Non mi " convincono " completamente. Il prezzo è leggermente inferiore ad altri modelli della marca. Made in Bangladesh??!!

This is the second pair of Salomon shoes that I have returned because the construction, the support, and the quality of the shoes were far inferior to the Salomons I bought some 3 years ago and which are a bit tired but still very wearable. On inspection I noticed that the the pair I bought previously said "Made in Vietnam" and the two pairs I returned said "Made in India." I'm sure many excellent things are made in India, but not, from my experience, Salomon shoes, or at least, not yet and until that changes I will reject shoes with that label.
