This is a great cage for my chinchilla
This is a great cage for my chinchilla, I had to get him another cage cause the previous cage he did quite a bit of chewing on the plastic shelves. So he got this as a new home. Putting it together was very easy, it isnt as tall as I thought it was supposed to be but he seems to really like it. New area so he is discovering every inch of his cage. The plastic shelves do just latch on to the side of the wire, They dont latch well but I also know from the past cage this happens with all the shelves not just this one. The little ladders to get around from shelf to shelf, they also latch onto the plastic shelving, However the chinchilla never uses them he jumps from shelf to shelf. without any issues. I really like the hole cutout for the food bowl. We were having major issues with food spilling all over and so far this nice insert we havent had that issue yet. Overall I am very happy with this cage, and the chinchilla I believe loves it. I paid full price for this cage and this is my honest unbiased opinion and have come to it by putting this cage together myself and watching the chinchilla inside it.

Can be combined into two cages! Lasts a long time.
I have owned one of these since 2014, and it still looks VERY new. It was used by ferrets until 2019 when I put rats (not young rats-they would fit through the bars) in this cage. Then I bought another on amazon! I decided to make them into one extra large cage. I cut and sanded the wire bars to mirror so there were “doorways” between them and used metal wire to secure the two cages together. It’s been months and we have a small female and a large fixed male living together with no problems! A plastic chewing rat would not be an ideal inhabitant of this cage, but my two love it in here! With $1 baskets, zip ties and even a small litter box (requiring a drill to put holes for hanging) to make extra floors, we have a pet mansion!

Good starter cage for ferret
This cage is a nice size for a single ferret. There is enough room for a small litter box on the bottom and to hang a hammock from the top. My ferret took ~3 months to figure out how to open the door and an additional month to figure out how to lift the side open (He's smart, but he's still a juvenile). Some inexpensive key rings looped through the side wires and a couple clips on the doors seems to have fixed this problem. I like how deep the base is, because I can put bedding in it and he can't toss it all out of his cage. If I were going to upgrade though, I would probably go to a bottom tray that pulls out for easier cleaning. I suggest using the key rings or some other sort of clip to secure the sides, both to prevent your pet from escaping and to keep the cage from folding in. It's very easy to put together, but the sides don't stay clipped together particularly well on their own. For the price, you really can't go wrong though, even if it does require a little extra reinforcements.

Perfect for rats and easy to clean
I had this cage a couple of years ago and had to give it and my rats away. I now am settled and have some little fur babies so I decided to purchase this cage again. It's easy to clean, easy to assemble, and the only set back is that it does not have a top door opening which can be hard to deal with when trying to get critters out. I previously had Kaytee's large deluxe 5 level ferret home with slide and that was just a bad idea as the rats could escape and it was really hard to clean. This would work for one ferret but I don't recommend more than that and ferrets are best in pairs. Also food bowl placement is not all that great as they like to throw food from the shelf and I just keep it on the bottom of the cage to avoid the mess. Overall a great, sturdy, easy to clean cage.

Arrived broken, but replacement is perfect.
Edit** **I really like the new cage! This one arrived in great condition. Although a little flimsy and one of the shelves was bent (I had to hot glue it down), for $65 it was really worth the price. It is the perfect size for a couple (or a few) adult rats. I can't wait to put mine in when they grow to adults!** I included a picture of the new cage after putting a few things in. Giving one star until I get a replacement that is not completely busted. I was surprised at how low cost this seemingly high-quality cage was, until it arrived completely battered and broken.

Lots of space for your chinchilla
My chinchilla has been using this cage for a few years now and he seems to really like it. While it is not difficult to break down the cage and take the levels and ramps out for cleaning, it does take a bit more work than a single level cage. But, my chinchilla is used to a tri-level cage and I like giving him the extra room to move around. To me, it is worth adding on a little more cleaning time, so that my chinchilla has a more comfortable environment. My only complaint is that it is plastic and not as well-made as metal cages.

Worth the money
Huge cage! Good quality! Perfect for rats, they love it. Shipping was fast-it was on my doorstep in 2 days!! Assembly was a breeze as well, I have no complaints it's a great product definitely worth the money. It seem expensive to some but keep in mind that especially rats are very cheap to buy and to take care of, the cage is the most important investment! I highly recommend purchasing this cage :)

Perfect cage for 2 adult rats
Perfect cage for 2 adult rats. It offers a lot of space for activities and decorations. This is not suitable for younger rats tho, since the spacing b/w bars are kinda big.

I do NOT recommend this product!
Just received this yesterday and am super disappointed! The quality is definitely not what I expected, as this is very flimsy, thin and cheap. I was planning to put my chinchilla in it (they offer this exact cage for chinchillas in green - I chose this 'ferret' version because I prefer the blue colour) but due to the poor quality I have already shipped it back! If you were considering buying this for a ferret I think you would be in trouble! They are wily and would have no problem figuring out how to unlatch the sides of the cage and escape because it is not securely fastened together! Not impressed and very disappointed! I had high hopes! :(
