Good Product with major issue.
I've bought a bunch of Kasa stuff before and it all works great. I bought these for my living room and to use them with Home Assistant. Unfortunately, they do not work. After an event is triggered, they will do the action and then disconnect from the wireless. After some googling, it turns out this is a known issue with them since last year. After several resets of the light strip, same results. I tested using a regular Kasa Light bulb and everything works fine. Just the light strip is not compatible with Home Assistant.

Bulky power supply
The lights work great, but the power supply is bulky and the prongs are turned sideways. While this help not block a lower outlet if used on top, it causes additional problems if you are placing the lights behind a projector screen that is meant to be fairly flat against the wall. Since the power supply is too deep to fit behind my projector screen while plugged into the wall, I need to use a low profile angled extension cord. Since the prongs of the power supply are rotated 90 degrees, you can't use a normal extension cord as the power supply and end of the extension cord are even bulkier. Hopefully finding an extension cord with the electrical slots are also turned sideways wills solve my issue and allow me to hide the power supply behind the screen.

Nice bright leds with a few limitations
I have some of the other Kasa devices, two light switches and a smart outlet. They have been great with basically no issues for years so I though I'd try out these LED strips. I wanted to do some backlighting for my TV. I use home assistant and I was able to automate these to turn on and off with the tv, and to change colors depending on what streaming app is selected. Overall they work well, good brightness and vivid colors. This is my first set of LED strips and I didn't realize some key info about the different types which is my fault and not a fault of the product however it's important to know. These don't have the following two things, controllable zones and dedicated white LED diodes. The downsides of this are that first, the white colors aren't too great, not very accurate, which for my application isn't a big deal. Second because they don't have different zones, the lighting effects and animations are limited. Kasa does have slightly more expensive sets that offer these features. I will probably purchase some of these for the tv and utilize these in a different area, because I want to do some neat animations based on volume changes. Again, my fault for not understanding the differences. The only other minor complaint is that certain colors, mainly bluish hues have a slight flicker occasionally. This might be because I'm running them at very low brightness, but should be noted.

Works great in the pantry
I read here on another review that it barely put out light in a pantry. Not true. It works great. There is just enough to line the entire door frame. I did have to add an outlet inside but was easy to do since I had a switch on the other side of the side wall and used an external mount outlet.

Used for ambient lighting around my desk. wish it was brighter
Youtube got me looking at how to improve my WFH space and saw a video on ambient lighting and how it helps with your eyes so you that the area behind and around your monitor are lit up and not just the bright monitor. So I gave these a try. I put this around the back of my monitor, under and all around my desk to provide an ambient glow which it does nicely, but not as bright on the white setting as I had hoped. I do like that i can change to a red light at night. The price was perfect for what I was trying. I was also able to cut and re-connect the wires with ease. I would recommend this for ambient lighting and mood setting but for what I was hoping to do, i should've just went for a dimmable single color LED strip. No plans to change it just yet as it did take me a bit of time to cleanly install the LED Strip... not going to fuss with it for a while.

Strips do not connect end to end.
We have KASA smartbulbs throughout our house. The work pretty well. I decided I wanted "mood lighting" in our living room. The lenght I wanted to illuminate was about 21' so I bought the KASA LED 16.4 x 2. Every other LED set I have purchased has connections on each end. I was not paying attention so I mounted one roll on my base boards only to find out one end of the strip has no connector. Instead, the controller with this set has two connectors, which means each strip is meant to be separate. Luckily there was a plug near the middle of where I was running the lights so I pulled the first strip up then mounted each strip running away from my controller in opposite directions. I trimmed the excess from each end. If there was not an outlet in the middle of the run it would have been game over because you can't mount strips end to end.

Love the light setup
I put these as indirect lighting behind an offset panel the TV is attached to. I did not use the adhesive properties of the strip to the plywood… I used strip light hold downs. Started up the app and it’s exactly what I was looking for.

I like these - BUT
I am a KASA fan - more than a dozen items - these work well... the drawback? They are expensive if you don't need this length -- Should offer in half sizes... so if your project is on the smaller size like mine, it is pricey... the thing was that I didn't want a knock-off product that wasn't integrated into my smart home system.

Good product and would buy again!
Good brightness and easy to install. I am happy with the quality and would buy again! The app is a little off colour on the colour wheel, versus the actual light colour coming out of the LED but that’s easy to figure out. I also love that I run it from my Kasa app. I do wish it had a white LED but I knew it didn’t while buying it, and the white colour still looks fairly close. One piece to note: I ran it down my counter and had excess so ran some of it back in the other direction. I noticed when looking straight up at it that one side looked like a different colour than the other. At first I thought that I had kinked it on my corners, but after a bit of trouble shooting and testing, I realized it’s just an optic of how the LED’s look, and from the opposite direction you see the same affect. Great for the money, very pleased
I bought two, one connected easily, the other had a bit of a headache however support was great, Donnalyn Reyes helped me get connected in no time and they are both working perfectly now.

Works with Hey google
This product was easy install, the strip sticks very well.simple app download/set up,works great with Hey google.all basic colours display well and not extremely bright. I find the themes for lighting that this product offers , lightening, candy cane etc just a waste of time messing around with. This strip has added a subtle touch to our open Kitchen island. Plus it’s just fun to say “Hey google change the island colour” and watch the LED’s change colour

Price for quality was great!
These are the best little string light's yet. Price is great, easy install, hooked straight up to Google and Alexa, works 100%. Perfect kitchen night light and surprisingly bright when at 100%. Highly recommended.
