Love KARCHER. BUT!
This is my 4th KARCHER pressure washer in 12 years. I have loved every one of them and enjoyed the features and performance of them. However I am sad to say that this latest model has disappointed me. The plastics that were once very durable seemed to have become less durable. The floor foot plate has broken off, the water supply connector attachment for the garden hose has broken two times (very poor plastic) I went to a hardware store and purchased a brass adapter that I was able to modify to fit my water supply connection. However I will say that this vendor provided super and fast customer service and the price was better than others online

I wish it had more power
Good product easy to assemble just a bit weak for my liking took about 45 mins to get the moss off the concrete of my two car drive way.. My old pressure washer would be done in 15mins...

OK for household chores but not big jobs
This unit was purchased to supplement/replace a 2300psi gas washer (Generac w/6hp B&S) I needed a washer when my gas powered washer went out and the part needed was somewhere on a ship on the ocean -the dreaded "supply chain" problem. This one got favorable reviews so I bought it. First --set up is not intuitive and the printed instructions suck- a lifetime of putting things together enabled a 30 minute assembly but if you are not mechanically inclined good luck. Once together I realized that many of the faults listed on the reviews were correct in that the plastic parts are not sturdy and you don't want to be tugging and pulling at any angle . This is not the Generac which is 20 + years old and built like a tank. In running the unit the pressure spray is sufficient to clean a deck or pavement but it is not a "wonder blaster" . Slow and methodical works just don't be in a hurry. Unlike the gas washer which WILL peel the paint off things if set on high and narrow spray this one does not have the oomph. Does it do the job -yes. Is it impressive -not really. The upside is that it is quiet and lighter than the gas powered unit but if I have a big or tough job it will wait until the parts arrive and I have the Generac running again

Good electric pressure washer from Karcher
The media could not be loaded. Read a lot of reviews about pressure washers: different makes, models, types etc. And finally decided to stop on Karcher. I know that chinese analogs with same specs are cheaper: sun joes, greenworks etc. And somewhere has better specs but I saw a lot of reviews on YouTube where complained about real values and quality. So I’ve got k5.740 and here my review. Overall quality: Many questions here where it was made. It made in China. But I wouldn’t say that’s bad. The Apple makes all its stuff in China as well so it’s just what quality standards companies use for production. When I opened the box everything inside has been packed very well. No any weird cheap plastic smells or leaks (oils or lubricants). Assembling hints: - use silicon spray for connectors what has rubber rings (pressure hoses). It prevents any damage and leaks then. And it will be easier to assemble. Assemble is pretty straight forward, there is nothing hard. If you’d like to use extension cord - please use at least 14/3 gauge cord. It says: motor needs 15 Amp. So I’ve found 50’ cord at HomeDepot with 15amp max. First use: When you connect water hose DO NOT ON washer!! Just allow water to come out of the gun by regular water pressure. It will remove all air from pump and hoses. After 10-15 seconds you can power on washer. Using: I was really impressed how powerful it is. I cleaned my deck in 20 minutes I think. Please check my pics and video. And another one thing: it’s soooo quiet!! I’d think my neighbors happy by this fact as well. :)) Motor has automatic start/stop function but if I fill that I need pause more than one minute I prefer to power off it and drop the pressure. When I ready to continue - just power on it again. Overall thoughts: Pros: high quality easy to use good power water consumption quiet motor Cos plastic wheels, I’d prefer if they’d be with rubber coat soap function is not good. I’ve ordered external foam cannon a bit heavy for my wife :))

Great product, quiet, plenty of pressure.
I found the product easy to assemble. It was advertised as new (not in original packing). In fact it had been improperly assembled then taken back apart. I had no issues resolving the mistakes. This replaces 2 older ones, both of whom had switch failures. Hope this one holds up better.

Broken piece
Not bad for the price. Assembly took about 30 minutes. Once it was together, I had a black plastic piece and a screw left over. Determined the left over piece was the broken front support (U shaped at base of the unit between the wheels). Still no idea what the silver screw with a flexible plastic sleeve over I goes but the unit worked as I used it to wash 2 cars. Figuring out why the soap was not dispensing took a few minutes but the asnswer is you need to have the wand set to low pressure. I have called the 800 number about the broken piece so we will see.

Perfect for around the house
Have been using the K5 for about a year now. It works great for all your typical cleaning tasks around the house/yard. It is fairly quiet compared to a gas unit and doesn't need the level of maintenance a gas engine does. Onboard hose and cord storage is very convenient. I find the 2000 psi cleaning power more than adequate. With the variable nozzle and dirt blaster it offers a wide range from cleaning delicate outdoor furniture to concrete patio pavers. (Yes it obviously takes a little longer if you havent cleaned your driveway in 10 years compared to a 5000 psi $1000 gas unit but how often do you really run into this scenario). Most important for Canada, don't overwinter it in the garage/unheated space as residual water will freeze and crack your pump. I drain the unit and store it in my basement, no leaks and starts without issues the next spring.

I was expecting more for my money!! Good - just work went you press the trigger way less noise. - the dirt blaster rotary nozzle work very well on drive way. Poor - Hose too short need a hose longer 40 to 50 feet overall. They should provided a hose of 40 feet the reel will accepted it. - The Plastic is very cheap one part was broken went i receive it. - Not that easy to assemble, some part doesn't fit together. It is made in China doesn't look like they did a quality control check. - You have to roll and unroll the water hose by hand - the arm for the electricity is ok but will be better to have two to hold the cable better. - I dont like neither then trust the various pawer spray. The adjustment is too lose and the indication is confusing. - The safety button is a joke, It doesn't work at all. with the safety on you can pull the trigger very easy.

Expected more for the money
Overall, the unit does what its supposed to do. It gives good consistent pressure. My main issue is the actual build quality. First off, the unit itself feels like a cheaper plastic. Im sure it will hold up fine under normal use, but a tip over in the back of a truck is sure to break something. Second, the spool for the hose is pretty well useless. Not only is it made of flimsy plastic, but its near impossible to crank in the hose without fear of breaking the crank arm, or constantly knocking down the pressure washer. A simple hook to hang the spooled hose would have worked better in this case. Third, the cheap plastic quick connect for the hose they supply leaked on the first day, and broke the second time i used it. Karcher sells a metal one, but obviously that is an extra. Fourth, the hose itself is a cheap plastic, something like a thin rubber hose would have been nice. As mentioned before, the unit does its job, but for this price range I expected more for their "premium electric model". I would opt for a lower model to save money, or go to something else like a Sunjoe for a better price.

Won’t even start
Marvellous peace of engineering! Since my childhood I knew that karcher means quality and these are the best in their field. 1.5 years ago I got my first pressure washer from them which suddenly started leaking from the inside and won’t power on. So I decided to do an upgrade and got this one. Looks good, quality mediocre, but that’s not the issue. It will not turn on! I tried 5 different outlets, did all the plug tests, checked the hose and after 30 minutes of trying - it’s still dead. Customer support is not working on the weekends, so I guess I will start doing the research on other brands out there that are actually reliable. Since I just want this thing to work.

Cheaply Made
I ordered this Karcher K5 PREMIUM pressure washer with high expectations. Ordered on 04/12 and received on 04/20. I am extremely disappointed with this product, especially since it is classified as a "PREMIUM" machine. After assembling the unit I connected it to the water supply and it immediately began squirting water profusely from the inlet connector. I tightened the connector as much as possible but it is made of plastic and the seal is just not adequate, it should be made of metal to offer a better connection. The unit also leaked heavily from the high-pressure hose to hose drum connection once i turned on the power. This connection also is flimsy and does not solidly stay in place. In addition to this , when it arrived one corner of the box was split open. When I opened the box and looked at the unit it had a black scratch mark right on the front, it was not even wrapped in anything protective and my 10yr old son said it looked used. All this to say I believe that this unit was an open box and had previously been returned to Amazon because it was defective. I am extremely disappointed because no where did it indicate that it may have been a previous return. I will be returning this purchase to Amazon and will buy a different make from Home Depot. Don't buy this one..POS
