Arrived in a box without padding broken

This was just thrown in a large box with no packing materials. It is hard plastic and arrived broken in a plastic bag. The box was damaged like it had been drop kicked.

Love the idea..hate the brush

I love the holder. You can put the bowl cleaner in it and it’s right there. But I really hate the silicon brush. The shape is off and it doesn’t do a great job scrubbing the bowl. It’s hard to get around the inside rim.

Great idea, didn’t do the job

I like how this hangs to store, and I hoped it would work well to get under the rim of the toilet, but, it does not. It is hard to hold at an angle to get what needs to be cleaned and the shirt scrubbing silicone bristles do not do the job- frustrating .

Seems to be a good product.

I have only used this once so I don't know yet how it will hold up with continued use. It is a bit different to use but I think I will get used to it and like it.

I just don't like it

I purchased two in August 2019. I have yet to like using them. Accustomed to the roundish bristle brushes we have here in the United States, Joseph Joseph has introduced to me a cleaning device that is suppose to stay dryer in the holder, but is awkward at best to use. Also, the metal handle has banged the rim of the toilet a couple of times from my shaking out the excess water. No, it doesn't all drip off instantly and you will get a puddle at the bottom of the storage holder. I have to sit the brush off to the side a bit to allow for evaporation. Honestly, I'm going to try to return these. If Joseph Joseph would come out with a head for this cleaner that was a little more full and had a gentle curve to it all around, then I could get excited about it. I think the pro for me was the idea of better hygiene. Getting things really clean. The con is that while the material used maybe a great thing, the overall design is lacking and it is not competley water/drip free. The toilets in our house are not the same brand because of room size and placement issues. One bowl is a little better shaped for this odd brush. The other is not. It's the back of the bowl rim that becomes the issue. And the metal handle. Be careful about scrubbing away. You'll have to slow down and take care so as not to bang the metal against your bowl. I have other Joseph Joseph products that have been real winners. This isn't one of them.

Smart design

I have a few things from the Joseph Joseph brand, and I have consistently been impressed. Thoughtful design details make even the simplest items - seriously, this is a review for a toilet brush - perform better than you anticipated, streamline your space, and be both durable and easy to clean. It is a few dollars more than your basic dollar store toilet brush, but you also won't have to keep replacing it - this thing is built to last.

Looks beautiful but useless at cleaning.

SEE UPDATES BELOW downgraded from 5 to 2 stars and back up to 4 now 2 star again. I find Joseph Joseph products either very good, or over designed rubbish. This appears to fit into the very good category. It looks beautiful and trying it out for the first time, it works extremely well. Somebody has put a lot of thought into the design so that it works well. The silicone brush bristles vary from long and soft at the bottom to short, nubbly and stiff at the top. The head is contoured as well. It bends virtually in two and I’ve been able to clean all the horrible bits that the Simplehuman brush couldn’t reach. The head, being silicone, rinses clean under the flush easily. A few taps to get rid of drops of water and it is ready to pop back in the holder. The metal stick appears to be good quality and hopefully won’t go rusty within a few months like the Simplehuman brush. I will report back if it does rust. The holder has a deep well to drop the brush into. I prefer brushes to have fresh air circulating round them and this is closed off by the lid on the handle so air will not flow round the brush as much as I would like but I am hoping that the silicone head is so easy to clean that this will not matter. The head is suspended so will not sit in a foul puddle. The deep narrow well means that to scrub it out you will need to use a long handled brush. No quick swipe with a disposable cloth. My hands are small but I couldn’t get a wipe to the bottom. Perhaps a hot spray under the shower will keep it clean enough. On the back is a cubby hole for bleach or an air freshener. This takes a standard Harpic bottle fine and hides it put of sight (and the new black Harpic bottle really does need hiding - it’s horrible) The squat shaped bottle of Method Bowl Control wouldn’t fit but I see Method now do a taller slim bottle as well. I will try that next time I see it in the shops. Overall I’m really pleased. I don’t like buying products without seeing them in the flesh or reading several reviews online but this time the gamble has paid off. UPDATE Oh dear, after a couple of weeks trial I have to change my review. This brush can’t clean our Duravit toilet. Where the water line starts there is a slight reverse curve and no matter what I do this brush leaves it untouched. I swapped it the our family bathroom where we have a more traditional UK toilet and it cleans it ok except you can’t get a good scrubbing action just below the rim. It’s not doing a good cleaning job at all. Getting technical, it won’t clean dried on mess. My old clam shell container for my Oxo brush spilt water occasionally if knocked but the brush did do a very good efficient job of cleaning the toilet thoroughly. I should have bought another instead of this. UPDATE 2 having been really cross over this purchase as it wasn’t doing a thorough cleaning job I’ve discovered a technique that works. I needed to fold the brush head and push upwards as if I was trying to jam the head under the rim, then it finally managed to clean quite efficiently. Compromised on 4 stars. i still prefer the Oxo brush but this does look great. UPDATE AFTER THREE MONTHS USE The area under the waterlinewhere the sides meet the bottom is not getting cleaned efficietly and looks stained. In trying to remedy this I ended up using an old washing brush in desperation. I would get rid of it but perhaps they will come to their senses and bring out a bristle head. UPDATE AFTER ONE YEAR I hate, hate, hate this brush. It wasn’t doing a good job and I was having to bleach below the waterline a lot more frequently. Even a house guest remarked on how bad it was. I finally gave in and bought another Oxo brush and the difference is amazing. The toilet is already looking cleaner including below the waterline. I’m now debating what to do with my expensive white elephant.

So Clean

Gets the toilets so clean and is easy to keep clean and sanitary. I will never buy an old fashion toilet brush again. This is the best!

Muy útil y práctico

Compré dos para los baños y estoy muy contenta. Me gusta que puedo guardar el producto de limpieza en el lado que no se ve. Ojo con las botellas más grandes porque igual no entran, depende de la marca (adjunto fotos). La escobilla está muy bien y limpia aquellas zonas donde las típicas escobillas no suelen llegar. El precio es algo elevado pero justificado porque los materiales y uso son muy buenos. Los colores combinan con cualquier baño y estilo. La entrega rápido y los productos me llegaron en perfecto estado. ¡Muy contenta!
