Cheaply made
Brakes when using it,not at all durable like 3m originals, if you get this then tape all around it with extreme durable tape like duct tape because plastic connecting each half together is not durable, I only used it 11 times within 1 month lightly and it came apart in my hand.

MAJOR SAFETY FLAW despite otherwise nice tool
As you can see, the tool rotates 180 degrees to either give you the 110 punch or the cutting mechanism for 110. When the cutting mechanism is not being used, it's point directly toward your hand. The tool does not effectively lock the 180 flipped end in place. Very easy to have the tool slip and have the cutting mechanism go into your hand. MAJOR FLAW despite an otherwise nice tool. Use at your own risk. I returned mine. The 12 ports I set up on a patch panel (96 total punches, 8 wires times 12 Ethernet ports), the tool slipped at least 5-6 times - EVEN AFTER I was being as careful as possible because of the recognized risk. By using this product, I feel like one is inevitably going to end up injured.

Great tool
I almost lost my Nortel Bix Tool. So I thought I better get a backup. It works great.

Good tool for BIX punchdown blocks.
Not much to say. It's a special use tool and does what it was designed to do. Well made.

does the job
I work as a line and cable contractor and as such I install TV, phone, and internet. many of the outdoor cabinets and apartments i work in have bix cross connects and as such this tool is very useful for me to connect service it is hands down one of the smoothest and most reliable punches i have especially compared to the klein punch i have which struggles to cut the excess wire on bix punchdowns. This new punch here doesn't feel stiff or difficult to push but has a steady punch motion without sacrificing the power you normally need to get the wire in. overall very happy having this because now i dont need the bix attachement for my klein and keep it around only for 110 and 66 punch blocks. would recommend

I wish it had a cable jacket cutter but other than that great tool for the money.
I used this to punch down the network cabling in the house for our renovation, I knew I wasn't going to be punching down ethernet that frequently and didn't want to spend $30-40 on a nicer impact punch down tool but I also didn't want to use something totally disposable. When I found this, I thought it was the perfect compromise between these two things and it is. It's pretty solidly made with a flip over design that lets you choose between a 110 blade without cutter and a 110 blade with cutter. I only used the cutting side. It punched down the cabling easily enough, but had a bit of a tough time when it came to punching down the tighter pairs. Still, it did get the job done without much fuss and the blade looks totally fine after my job was completed. For the money, I would completely recommend anybody buy this tool over one of those super flimsy $3 disposable yellow ones. There is a missed opportunity with this tool in that it has no jacket cutter. It would have been amazing if it had a cutter to remove the cable jacket too.

Working good-No issue yet
Disappointed--Prime delivery showed up one day late. Bought this new Jonard punch tool to replace my worn out 11 year old Belden punch tool. Used that Belden everyday, I got my money's worth. Must admit the spring action on the Jonard does not feel as strong as the Belden. Hope to get same amount of service from the Jonard.

The plastic is not as heavy as the professional models I have used, but the item works as expected and helped me with the rewiring of my home network. Well worth the price for a quality tool without paying over $80 - $100 for the Fleet branded model.
