Best self adjusting stripper I've used.

I've bought all the tools in my review and have received no compensation for my opinions. I tried this model, 20100 and the Jokari 20050 (Jokari 20050 Ergonomic Super 4 Plus Automatic Wire Stripper for Wires from 0.2mm-6mm, 16.5cm L x 14cm W x 2.7cm H The 20100 works much better for stranded and solid conductors compared to the 20050 and I ended up returning the 20050. The 20100 is very easy to use (wire stop works well and the grip is comfortable) for both 12/2,12/3, 14/2 and 14/3 Romex cable and also flat harsh environment cable ((sometimes called "Boat Cable") in 14 and 16 gauge. I've also used it for 300VAC and 600VAC tinned stranded copper wire. Keep in mind this stripper is for single conductors so before stripping individual conductors I found that the cable cover is very easy to remove using another Jokari tool, the 200030.Jokari 20030 Ergonomic Automatic Flat Cable Stripper for PVC-Insulated Flat Cables, 16.6cm L x 10.2cm W x 2.8cm H I also tried several other single conductor strippers:. 1. Klein 11063WKlein Tools 11063W AWG Solid and Stranded Wire Stripper and Cutter Strips well but you have to insert the single or stranded wire in the correct opening. I found this cumbersome to use and it is now retired. 2. ZotoWire Stripper,ZOTO Self-adjusting Cable Cutter Crimper,Automatic Wire Stripping Tool/Cutting Pliers Tool for Industry This strips well but the strip length stop is too flexible so the wire strip length varies. Also is more difficult to get to the wire than with the Jokari's. Bottom line: For ease of use the Jokari 20100 is the very best stripper I've found and it is just super easy to use with no adjustment needed for various wire gauges. Should be perfect for anyone doing electrical wiring work such as a homeowner or professional who likes good tools. FYI, I edited my review because there is a replacement set of cutting blades, Jokari Number 29100, which I decided to purchase now rather than hunt for them later. Some of the best auto strippers out there!

I have purchased several different brands of auto strippers. And based strictly on my own personal experiences, I feel like Jokari makes some of the best ones out there. If I had to make a complaint, I think there could be some improvements made to the wire cutter that they put on top. The original cutters that used to be located between the jaws could sometimes be a real pain as they would start getting worn. This is definitely an improvement over that but I feel like it it needs further development.

Ideal for working with necessary wires used with Marklin train setup.

There is a variety of wire sizes for a Marklin train layout. It was easy to strip the wires and adjust for thickness. Easy to adjust to get the correct thickness to expose the wire and get a consistent length.
