Great dress!

I bought a 6P, it was the smallest size available. I had to have it taken in, and there is no zipper, so it was kind of tricky, but they did it and it fit perfectly. The even took in the beaded top at the sides too. It looks like it's a 2 piece dress, but it's a 1 piece. Very comfortable. The beaded top was enough 'bling-bling' for what I wanted, perfect for a mother of the bride dress. The plum color is beautiful. I'm 5'3 and it did not need hemming; without shoes it just barely hit the floor and with shoes it was perfect because my daughters wedding was outdoors so the dress never touched the ground and stayed clean. I love the cowl neck, it was comfortable and classy. The cap sleeves was just what I was looking for because for a mother of the bride dress, I didn't want sleeveless. Great dress!

Beautiful

I wore this to my daughters wedding. It was perfect. I got lots of compliments. My only negative is that the sequins rubbed under my arms when I moved but that is probably just me not used to wearing sequins.

What a great find!

I was so pleased to find this dress. It is very difficult to find petite sizes in special occasion dresses (don't they think shorter women need fancy dresses that fit well?). This fit perfectly, and is soooo comfortable. All that's needed for it to look great is a bra with a bit of lift to it. I could wear it w/out any shape wear, but I found a piece that is also very comfortable, so I will wear it -- it does look a little better with it. I am 5'1.5", and the dress was a little longer than pictured, but still above my shoe; I won't trip on it or anything. It's just lovely to wear, and I am looking forward to wearing it at my son's wedding later this month.

Like the J Kara styles that are pull-on w/ no zipper. Dress looks like a two piece but is actually one piece. Good style for comfort while hiding mid-section.

Wanted to love—but OUCH!!

I loved the way this looked on me! It was beautiful and formfitting and flattering… But the sequins rubbed at my tender inner arm and caused quick chafing. I wore the dress long enough to get ready for my event, and then I had to change out. I couldn’t have stood it for any longer than 30 minutes or so. ????

Beautiful dress

Beautiful dress and very flattering. Also very comfortable to wear. Wore it at a formal wedding. I gave it a 4 star simply because it came in a small bag and the bottom was very wrinkled. Tried to steam it and even after trying very hard, the wrinkles would not go away. Maybe would need to be steamed professionally.

Slimming and flattering, quality made

I love this dress. So classy and timeless. It is very slimming and flattering on and very well made. Not cheap looking at all. I am 58 years old and I am 5'4" tall and around 168 pounds. This dress fit me perfectly with a bit to spare. I purchased the 16 Petite size and I'm glad I did. The length just comes to the ankle so makes it more of a tea length that I wanted for my daughters wedding reception. Easy to dance in. No alterations needed. Makes life much easier. J Kara's dresses are always quality made.
