Anchors are a huge pain to install
I feel compelled to write my review because there are so many positive reviews and it's a bit baffling. These anchors are NOT easy to install and often you will end up with one stuck in the wall that can't be removed and can't be tightened. If you use the recommended 3/8" drill bit the hole will be so tight you will need to hammer the anchor so hard that you'll almost certainly damage the soft metal of the nut or washer, and you'll also damage the bolt thread. When you damage the bolt thread - which you will - this is what will happen: the anchor will be stuck in purgatory forever - you won't be able to remove it because of the sleeve and you won't be able to properly tighten it because the bolt will turn with the nut. You might be able to get a pair of pliers to grip the bolt while you force the nut past the damaged threading, but good luck - it won't always work - and you also risk further damaging the bolt thread. When the anchor fails there's no easy fix - you either need to cut it off with an angle grinder or try and hammer it into the wall far enough to patch over it. All in all, these are extremely frustrating. When they work they're great. When they don't work you have a huge headache. If you absolutely want to use these, use a 7/16" drill bit (not a 3/8"), and use a mallet or a block of wood when you hammer them in. Any damage to the nut/bolt and you're screwed.

Solid.
Holds 2x4s to my concrete basement wall like a boss. I stuck one in about halfway and then decided I needed to reposition. Even though it wasn’t fully inserted in the drill hole (let alone tightened) it took 10 minutes of prying and hammer smacking to get the thing out. Very confident that these things ain’t going anywhere.

It does the job as you would expect
It worked well to install my 3 gun safes. No issues when hammering them in and tighten them up.

legit
easy to use. Pre drill a hole slightly bigger and then lightly hammer in until the whole thing is in except the nut at the top. Tighten the top with no worries until it doesn't want to go any further. great product.

Quality is Questionable
Used a number of these, some allowed the bolt to turn inside the casing, thus making it impossible to tighten the nut. And, of course, once you have it anchored in the hole, you cannot easily remove it and replace it with a good one.

The anchors would work
Had no trouble with these top notch anchors. Fit the drilled holes and expanded well. They were used to bolt down my safe. Highly recommended.
