Great for needed shade but not durable to stand in all weather

While I was aware that this was not a durable item for ALL weather, I was pleasantly surprised by the strength of the brackets that this shade connects into. As many have mentioned, this will likely break with a high wind situation. Mine did. I believe it is my fault that I did not take it down when winds were upwards of 20 miles an hour so I don't blame the manufacturer. In the meantime, I will likely use the brackets and some PVC to set across the pool to lift my cover out of the water when we are not using the pool. The price I paid was worth it just for the well-constructed brackets.

Does the job good

I love this canopy. It gets the job done, and it's very light, so if it is windy, it will fly away because the material is super light.

How to fix Poles

everyone has the same problem the poles breaking at joint.. because the joint don't flex in the wind. easy fix to this.. after you get your kit go to big box hardware store, buy some PEX-B Tubing it comes in 1/2 X 20 for each one you will need 60 feet of it.. now drill the pole holders for cross brace to fit poles now cut the poles to fit in canvas..slide the tubing in the slots its tight but will fit..glue all the poles joints and then do the assy sliding the poles into the new tubing.. the assy will hold up to wind because its now reforceing the poles and spreading the force of wind over the whole pole..After mine broke in a 20 mph gusting day I did this..now no problem with wind breaking the poles at joints... even in 40 mph gust.. your looking at a 20$ upgrade that well worth the cost..now I injoy the canopy and no broken poles.. over all its a good product.. but because of shipping you cant get one peace poles..I have 2 on my pool and being in NewMexico we have sun and wind all the time..

so far it works great

We have it set up for almost 2 months now. It was pretty easy to put together, setting it up for 2 people is a breeze. We took it down for one warned storm but forgot for another storm and it held up great! The only downside is, it could be a little bit wider to cover more of our pool. Update, after almost a year, a gust took out one of the poles, bummed, but we had it up all year during heavy storms, downpours and ice - but one gust this morning was the end of it, will replace and use the tip from another review on the new one.

Great Canopy, great Concept buy a set Quality Poles

Love this Canopy.. but when they crimped the fiberglass retractable pole into the metal connector, they cracked the fiberglass, so the first rain collapsed it…Seller more than willing to replace the whole thing, but it’s up and taking it all down to ship back for them to send a new one is a total waste of time and frustration.. we ordered a set of replacement retractable tent poles… I’ll update after we get them…. When I suggested seller just send the poles, they agreed if “We” had the part number!!! Right, let me just pull out my Intex parts book!!! Ugh

Mixed feelings

I have mixed feelings about this canopy. It's a very high-quality item, which looks good and works as expected. However, in my opinion, the concept is not very well though out. The issue is you can't easily set it up and remove. Installing/removing requires two persons and you need to have a substantial space around the pool. Also the canopy is not foldable, so in order to store it you need to completely disassemble it. Assembling and disassembling is a bit tricky and takes some time since everything is pretty tight. It's not something you will be willing to do every day. If you have a lot of space around your pool (you need approx. 6'x14' spot), you should probably just put the canopy on the ground while it's not in use.
